Assistants

If TC McCartney rounds out the offensive staff I’ll be very very disappointed. Basically zero experience (outside of Hagan) across the board.

I was past thinking TC here was a good idea the minute Chev got the OC gig. We need a resume like the one Kurt Roper had for QBs.

Do you ever know what the hell you are talking about. Have you ever been to oxford ms, Lexington ky, Knoxville ten, Athens etc... you are such a tool. You keep, spouting of sh** you know nothing about. You crap gets old

I had to read this 5 times to figure out the point you were trying to make. The examples I used were all places I've been to. My fiancee is a former rower at Tennessee-its one of the best college towns in the country IMO. I've been to Oxford, too-its not bad, but the rest of Mississippi is one big ****hole. Zero problem whatsoever with that take. As far as the Big 12 examples I gave you-Same deal there. I've seen CU win in all four of the towns I referred to in my post. Have you?

Uhhhhhh no I want somebody who has been an OC previously in that spot. Bad thing?
I’m half joking but just pointing out that Roper was irrelevant here. He didn’t do anything to help Montez’s game (and I would argue he put self preservation mode in his head), and his prior OC experience did nothing to help first time OC Chev. TC is a rising star in the coaching profession and is credited for really helping Drew Lock develop last year. He’s a good hire if he does end up being the guy. Dorrell is banking on himself and Chev.

Big last line.

I know, and I think you're right. I think there's a risk anyway we go with that spot-if its TC, we're light as a whole there. There are also a lot of similarities to me between him and Taylor Embree-there are NFL names that they both can point to, but they've never actually recruited themselves. If we go hire......Bush Hamdan (for example-I don't know if he's landed anywhere, but I'm not advocating for that), we're getting a failed OC who could be another Roper.

This guy makes Bernardi look good. Think about that one...

Well that top 10 recruiter of the year in 2006 or whatever it was he won shows he has actually tried to recruit-which is more than one can say for Bernardi.....seen very little twitter activity for the last few months.

Rodrigue could end up a pleasant surprise, I said that about all the other offensive moves, though...

Yep. He seemingly has deep recruiting roots in LA and his OLs tended to do well & develop talent.

But that was also a long time ago at a lower level for a guy who hasn't had a college job in a few years. This is out of left field and I don't know how it wouldn't be a head scratcher for everyone.

All I can think of is that it is so far out of left field that he must have come as a strong recommendation from someone Dorrell trusts. I don't even understand how a perpetual G5 OL coach who's been put of coaching for 2 years even ends up on Dorrell's radar.

Just watched his blocking sled video...was hoping he sounded like Cookie Monster but no. Observation: If you lived in Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi your whole life, you suddenly would leave all those relationships to go live in Colorado? Just does not make any sense. Even for good $$.

Unless he's picking up a truckload of Coors beer and driving it back to Texarkana!

You’d think they’d be able to go to just about any G5 program and offer a raise and jump to P5 to any solid OL coach. He had to have been highly recommended.

Got to wonder why JJ didn't hire him here or at MSU instead of Kap.

In all seriousness, my working hypothesis is that CU became aware of him through JJ when it looked like Kap might leave over a month ago.

He'll make far more here than he ever has coaching.

Sorry can we go back to what was discussed on the last page? Does Dorrell mean the hot co-eds with recruits is no more? That would be a shame.
