CU Ranked #21 in AP

Makes the Pac12 look even more stupid for not scheduling an AP top25 conference title decider in the ABC Primetime game

I probably agree with you, but could you expand?
In a crazy backwards year where honestly the results of the Pac12 has no national sway, the conference has a chance to schedule 2 top25 teams. Why would they not schedule a game raises the Pac12 profile more; a quasi meaningful SC-CU game or lackluster SC-UCLA rivalry game? Nobody nationally is going to care that the Pac12 played freely with the schedule. Plus the conference can statistically put to rest any questions about worthiness for a conference championship eligibility.

I’m not sure the rest of the country buys into a CU-USC game is more interesting than SC-UCLA. That is the the unfortunate result of years of mediocrity.

I do not think CCU would have an answer for the ground game. I don't think it would be a blowout but I think CU would beat the Chanticleers no matter where the game was played. I see why BYU wanted no part of UW now.
Coastal has a better defense than any team we’ve played this year, but okie doke.

Do you really believe Coastal is the 14th best team in the country? I tend to believe BYU was overrated.

Maybe, maybe not, but the pollsters had them at 14 and BYU came within 1 yard of beating them in a game BYU travelled across the country on 4 days' notice to play

Same for you, bub. My post that ignited your critique of Coastal said that a game with Colorado would be close and winnable for them in South Carolina. Maybe follow your own advice.
I think it would be a toss up at their place, about 90% in Boulder and 75% in a neutral.

That's fine but I still say that's why BYU ducked UW. BYU just isn't that good. Their best win is Boise St.

Can anyone explain how UNC is ranked at all, let alone ahead of CU? No big wins and losses to FSU & UVA. I don't get it.

This is a substantial underrating of Coastal. There’s no way the Buffs should or would be 2-3 TD favorites against Coastal with any sports book at Folsom or in a bowl game.

So if the Buffs played 6 more games & went 3-3 in them... you'd move them up a spot in the ranks?

We both know how the polls work. UNC started the season ranked and CU wasn't in the neighborhood of receiving votes. But in normal years everyone in the P5 has a chance to play their way in. The Pac12 screwed themselves by cancelling and following the B1G like a little puppy dog and even then inexplicably starting 2 weeks later than the B1G.

Back to UNC, I agree they have no impressive wins and are are getting far too much credit for their flop against ND and people trying to say how tough they played them. Their high-powered offense disappeared after the first quarter
