So, Sip is getting sued, I guess

It'll pass. But I think Sip and Perri should pay for his medical bills. Jmho.

Even if he was the one who turned their confrontation violent? How about if he suffered some of the injuries in the fight he was in earlier in the evening?

I think there are a few unanswered questions before we say that Sipili and Perri should be liable for 100% of his medical bills... If it turns out they started the incident and caused all his injuries, then I think you are right, and they should perhaps pay even more than just the out of pocket medical costs...

I know the kid was a douchebag. I've talked to some kids that know about him, and they all say he's a douche. He might've started it. But that doesn't excuse what Sip did. He wasn't really defending himself. He was on top of the kid rearranging his face.

I not trying to say Sip is a bad person. Everyone makes mistakes. But he knows that he's going to be held to a higher standard being a high profile college athlete.

Just because he broke the kid's eyebone doesn't mean he was stomping his face on a curb. One kid on my highschool water polo team had the same thing happen to him with ONE punch to face during a game.

I agree that Sip and Perri should pay if they threw the first punch and if the kid hadn't been injured in his previous fight. And if I were sips attorney, scary thought, that would be part of my argument. That the kid had been in a previous fight and was very likely injured then. But the "victim" is still a schmuck.

I agree with you. Hey, I'm all for backing up your buddies when situations arise, but this isn't classify as defending yourself. Witnesses saw Sipilli on top of the kid wailing on him. That's not defending yourself. It's excessive. I'm also sure there was a big difference between the two. The self defense argument will be a very tough sell in court imo.

Sipili did mess him up pretty good.

Yep, but the other kid threw the first punch. I sure as hell hope Sip gets a jury that isn't anti-football. Don't wanna get your ass beat? Don't throw punches at people who can beat it.

There is a difference that getting your ass kicked and face broke. Football has nothing to do with it. This isn't self defense. Perri was the one who instigated the whole mess.

You know, I just don't have any sympathy for idiots who start fights and get their asses beat. None whatsoever. In fact, I kind of like it. Natural selection at work.

Yeah. But you don't think it was exessive on Sipilli's part?

Hey, it's not his fault he hits really hard. Perhaps the guy should have thought about that b4 ****ing with a guy Sipili's size. These guys are athletes that train hard in a very aggressive sport; not the best guys to pick a fight with unless you can back it up.

 He'll definitely think twice before starting some **** in the future, thats for sure.

I just disagreed with you. I never said you were an asshole. Besides, I thought that you've already made that pretty obvious. :smile2::lol:

I know you didn't call me one. I just have zero sympathy for asshats like the one that wanted to fight Sip. I've known a lot of these guys in my life and every single one is a waste of oxygen.

I agree. They think their bad because they know that most athletes will back off. I've seen this alot in Boulder. I'm sure it happens everywhere.
