Recruits at Today's Practice

Carroll is amazing. That would be awesome to see him in a Buffs uni, but he's probably going to USC

I wouldnt be too sure about that.

It will take an awful lot to lure him from USC. Not only does like the football team, but he likes the track coaches. Considering the kid's times in the sprints, it will definitely be important in his school choice. Unfortunately, we are not exactly a recruiting hotbed for sprinters.

I would love to see him in Boulder, but I wouldn't call our chances "good" by any stretch.

The fact he is taking an unofficial and an official is enough for me! But USC will be damn tough to beat.

If we beat USC out for a recruit then Hawk and his staff need a raise! That would be one hell of an accomplishment.

Go Buffs

He's from LA, and it says he soft verbal. I know soft verbal isn't a full commit and there has been a lot of guys who changed their minds but it looks like USC for him. Hopefully he won't rush his desicion and take a hard look at CU where he will realize the truth.

**** all Hawkins would have to say to me is Do you want to be remembered as one of the players who brought CU back to the top and I would be like where do I sign?

Of course I would sign no matter what he told me but whatever.

a 9-4 season this year would go a long way toward making this and other things happen...

It wasn't a true unofficial visit. He was in Colorado already with his hs football team for a passing league tournament. I'd be more convinced if he had came out to Boulder on his own dime. I still think he is USC's to lose.

You never know about these things. One thing is, if recruits like him come to CU and are really impressed, even if they don't commit here, the word gets out to other recruits. These guy know each other.

True, but who knows? After talking to Josh and Jashon at practice and with Darrell in his ear, we may have a better shot then I think.

I think the biggest thing that will impress the recruits is starting 3-1 or 4-0. A big win against WVU or FSU on national (or at least regional for FSU) televsion would be much bigger in my opinion.

On a side note, Tyrone Ezell committed to Pitt. Soo that's another DL off the board. I know his top 2 were Pitt and Ohio St, but I was hoping we'd at least get him out here on an official visit.
