I think this deserves its own thread

Thank God.
Drop this ****ing series like a bad habit.
I think Bohn is trying to do just that. If the Lammies do indeed move the 2010 game to Hughes, I think this series is dead and buried.
I just don't think CSU will do that. They'll have to pay CU the same $650k visitor's fee that they'll get next year. Paying $650k when your stadium only seats 34k is a tall order. That's $19 of every ticket sold going straight to CU.
Not only does Folsom seat 20k more people than Ft. Fun, but CU has higher ticket prices, too.
Colorado State had the option to host the game in either Denver or Fort Collins in 2010 and it has decided to play the game in its home stadium, according to a CSU source.
2010 is the year they have their option. From your link:
They haven't officially decided yet. It's CU that decided for 2009.
I interpret that differently.
I interpret that differently.
Honesty, I hope they do. I want to see Colorado go in there an punk them on their home field in front of the only sellout crowd they will have for the next century. But I bet after another crappy year this year and attendance numbers dwindling down to high school levels they will opt to play at invesco when the time comes. They almost don't have a choice.
They've unofficially said they'll have it in Ft. Fun, but until a formal announcement is made, it's all speculation.
Everyone thought Romney was gonna be McCain's VP choice, too.
That is true. Might all be sabre-rattling on their part, but it seems awfully predictable.
