When we bat (like that MP:smile2:) WV, please please please don't rush the field! One way to get back to respectability is by acting like you have won a big game before.

I know plenty of students that are already planning on rushing the field if we win. And I've never done it before either:cool: Plus, if we win, I believe this game is worthy of rushing the field. Let us have our fun:thumbsup:

A win here will not be worth rushing the field, if WV was still in the top ten then it might be acceptable. I was in the student section in 06 when we rushed after beating k-state....I didn't go on the field, it was a sad day for CU football. There will be no point in rushing anyway, you don't need to rush the field when you bat the **** out of a team.

minor point of clarification. We got smoked by ksu in 2006. We beat ISU and TT (I believe the field was rushed for TT which was pathetic)

A win vs a quality ranked team on a nationally televised Thursday night + BLACKOUT game is worthy imo. Whether i rush or not everyone else is going to...

You can bet your a$$ they will rush the field, after awhile it is LAME,especially when you do it after almost every victory. What are we syracuse all of a sudden or duke?

Agreed undergrads. Act like you go to a real football school and don't rush. (cause you do, and you will have a better chance against Texas)

Rip the goal posts down. Save them. Then stick them up the Longhorns asses!

Dont rush the ****ing field. A win over a 1-1 #21 ranked team is not worthy of storming. I'm all for storming after a big win (Nebraska 01, Oklahoma 07, 02 Iowa State to a point) but the recent stormings over top-tier programs like CSU, Iowa State, Kansas State, Nebraksa in 07 and Texas Tech are ridiculous. Keep your ass in the bleachers and sing the fight song with the team after the win.

dont rush the god damn field.

If I remember correctly, I just quoted two students.

Come on guys, there are going to be some top 5 teams that leave Folsom with a loss in the next few years. Save it.

I agree, save it for when we beat the **** out of the whorns. It should be a rule it must be against a top 10 ranked team

:yeahthat:

Rushing the field is only warranted after a truly big win.

I say do what you want. Rushing the field is one of the best parts of CFB. I don't really mind it when the students rush the field. I'm sure the players and coaches don't mind either.

I agree with most of the posts on here. If the students rush after wins like this, they obviously don't consider us to be big time. We should be expecting wins against teams like this. I graduated not that long ago ('02), and we rushed the field all of ONCE the entire time I was in school. 62-36.

Rushing the field holds much more meaning if you save it for the really important, meaningful wins over top-ranked rivals. I hope and believe most students will realize rushing the field Thursday is both unnecessary and degrading.

Who's opinion of our program is important here? I really don't give a **** about what the national media thinks. They've always ragged on our program. I fully expect them to bury our program when we become relevent again.

:iagree: I have no problem with a display of emotion from the students which manifests itself in rushing the field.

No stopping drunk students...but I always try. I got mad at some of my friends for rushing against *ebraska last year.

Agreed. By the way. Your sig is awesome, been saying that myself for years.

Who gives a flying **** what other teams think of us? As long as we beat them, I don't care what the students do.

I think a Victory tomorrow is about as "really important" and "meaningful" of a win as we can get. CU hasn't played at home on the Thursday night spotlight since 1990 against Stanford! A win here would be huge for the confidence of the young guys, huge for the media attention/spotlight that we receive not only from a win on National TV but by beating an overhyped East Coast team (as they always are), and huge for recruiting!

Would everyone's sentiment be different if WVU didn't lose to a solid ECU team?

they would still be in the top 10, therefore they would meet the criteria. 1 and 1 does not a great team make (at least not yet).

I was in school for the 94,95,96,97 and 98 seasons and I don't remember the field being rushed one time (Maybe for aTm in 1995).
