Are you guys impressed with "Speedy" yet? :)

I am impressed with our rushing attack overall. I just wish our coaches would become a little more impressed. This next half needs to become a throwback to the Buffs of old. Line it up and ram it down their throats. We have two fantastic runningbacks, thunder and lightning, we need to show WVU how the Big 12 runs the ball. Wear their asses out this next half. There is no doubt from what I have seen so far that we can do this, it is just a question as to whether or not our coaches are seeing the same thing.

PS: has anyone ever seen a more nutless coach then Bill Stewart?

He looks great - but he's gonna need someone else (DScott) to shoulder the load.... he is taking some big hits.

:yeahthat:

And yes, I've been impressed with Speedy the first half.

Scott may well end up being all that and a bag of chips, but right now, he is not the best running back on your team. The other true freshman is! Stewart is scary fast!

Speedy did miss a whole to his left on that 2nd and 18 after that penalty.

Hes doing a pretty good job, but as someone else said, once he gets out towards the sidelines, he could do a better job of spotting gaps in the defense...he made a couple of wrong turns that prevented some monster gains...still very impressed with him though!

WVU seemed to adjust pretty well to him in the second half and probably needed to be spelled more with scoots (did they say something like he had a dinged knee after the game?). But dropped passes really screwed the flow the second half.

Someone go find the 15 threads where I wrote the same thing... "Can we please run the ball from under center..."

I'm glad they listened to me!:smile2:

Speedy is deadly.. Very impressed from what I've seen.. When he runs he looks very confident out there..

I knew Speedy was playing well, but I had NO idea he ran for 166. Way to go!

I was most impressed that on nearly every running play our guys fell forward. We picked up a lot of yards when it should have been a three yard run and it turned into five or six.

Nice coming out party for Speedy Stewart. Pinch me! Four years of #43 to look forward to cheering. Wow. It's great Hagan felt comfortable with Rodney carrying the load. Now let's get him in the end zone!

Are we the only ones that call him Speedy?

And are we the only ones who call J-Fly, J-Fly?

Just wondering because nobody else around me at the games uses these names.

Rodney has my respect. :smile2: He was clearly quicker and faster than anyone else on the field.

Who wouldn't be? Wait until he's had a chance to work behind that O-line for a while.
