LSU games are really fun to watch..

Miles always does something crazy and every big game they have they seem to rise to the occasion. Onside kicks, half-back passes, backup QB's step up.. Its just madness with Miles on the sideline....

The past three years I can remember at least 7 games that were just great to watch as a football fan..

Every football fan should treat themselves to a game at Tiger Stadium - even if you are not a Tiger fan.

i for one, love all of the SEC night games. its like a party foul if there is not an SEC night game. my weekend of CF watching would not be complete without a late night SEC matchup.

Unless the Buffs are playing. then **** them. im watching the Buffs.

Also, they always look like they're playing at another level. Even when CU was a national force and guys like Michael Westbrook and Charles Johnson were speeding down the sidelines--I'd look at some of those SEC teams and concede that, overall, they just looked athletic.

On a similar topic--is it just me, or does Auburn seldom miss a tackle? Sure, they occassionally blow coverage or get blocked, but if they get their hands on a guy, it tends to stick.

They are a really tough, hard nosed team, when you play them you can expect a real dogfight. Hatch was knocked silly tonight, I don't think he knew what was going on for about 15 minutes. Their game with Alabama at the end of the season should be a super fight.

Agreed, the Bayou Bengals are fun to watch.

Was it just my imagination or does the Lee kid have a world of potential and a serious big arm. Groom this kid right and he will give defenses fits

Since they built Tiger stadium a few hundred years ago, LSU's winning percentage on Saturday night is something like 80%. Bring it on all those who want a shot. Relax, enjoy, chill - get your tail out from between your legs and pick up a corn dog for the long ride back home. FEAR THE HAT!

Read the post "Saturday nights", not Saturday afternoon. 774 since 1960 for Saturday night games - is that close enough to 80%, and that's not counting the 1950's when they went 11 - 0 and won the National Championship in 1958.

LSU enters the 2008 season having won 19 of its last 20 games in Tiger Stadium. The Tigers won a school-record 19 straight home games from Oct. 15, 2005, through Nov. 10, 2007. LSU is 49-7 at home since the 2000 season -- including perfect home records of 7-0 in 2004 and 8-0 in 2006. Only one time since 2000 have the Tigers lost more than one home game, that coming in 2001 when LSU dropped a pair of contests in Tiger Stadium.

Part of the lore of Tiger Stadium is the tradition of playing games at night, an idea that was introduced in 1931 against Spring Hill (a 35-0 LSU victory). In 2006, LSU celebrated its 75th year of playing night football in Tiger Stadium. Since that first night game in 1931, LSU has played the majority of its games at night and the Tigers have fared much better under the lights than during the day. Since 1960, LSU is 206-59-3 (.774) at night in Tiger Stadium compared to a 20-23-3 (.467) record during the day over that span.
