Rick George just adding an extra $500k to the Prime's contract just because.
Contract numbers were agreed upon—though on the night of Nov. 19, after Colorado fell to 1–10 in a 54–7 debacle at Washington, George texted Sanders’s agent that he was adding an extra $500,000 to the deal, “just in case Deion saw that.”

Rewatched the NU vs Minn game and noted:

  • Both teams went slow. There were easy substitutions on every play keeping players from both teams fresh. If CU can string together first downs while going fast, this is something NU hasn’t had to deal with yet.
  • NU had a few plays were the NU offense wasn’t on the same page. Twice they were sacked when the WR on OL ran the play as a run, but the QB and RB faked the hand off and looked to pass. I assume this is the type of thing that gets cleaned up from week 1 to week 2.
  • On four of the long runs NU had, the RB and QB broke direct tackles at the LOS. The missed tackles led to about 65 of NU’s 181 yards of rushing (on 37 carries). The CU defense had a handful of times where they blew the first tackle as well in week 1. If we can clean that up, the NU run game is a lot less effective.
  • The NU defense had their DB’s about 8 yards off the LOS on almost every play. Minnesota ran routes that could be defended by this. I don’t believe this strategy will work against us.
  • The NU OT’s look to be their weakest unit, the opposite of TCU. Minnesota was able to use 3 and 4 man fronts to get pressure, even with TE and RB help.
  • QB accuracy from both teams was bad. Decision making was also slow across the board. There seemed to be a lot of pre snap decision making as the Minn QB threw into 3 man coverage a few times when they had 4 WR running routes against 6 DB’s.

If their DBs are 8 yards off the LOS every play, #2 is going to take the easy 5 yeards EVERY time.

Rumors of Colorado State next week, particularly with the CFB schedule being really bad that week. The only other intriguing matchups are Washington @ Michigan State and Tennessee @ Florida, both of which are fairly meh.

Just have to think ESPN is really trying to capitalize on CU in the same way Fox has.

USC would also seem like a strong possibility

There's a Runza in Longmont and @sockdolager has confessed to sneaking over there for some onion rings. Somehow I still go to Ace Hardware.

Here's one in Brighton. They call their runzas "krautburgers". Gotta admit they're really good. In any event, beware Nubs invading through Adams County.

I saw RK "predicting" it and it seemed a little strange at first as the game doesn't really have that "buzz" but I hadn't looked at the schedule yet.

I am also very curious to see the TV details and kickoff times for the Oregon and USC games.
 
Get out fast and step on the gas. Kill their will early and we will roll. Can’t play to their game or give them chances.

Great summary. I think our LB play will decide whether it's a big win or small win or us. Our DL can fill the gap, but can LB tackle? And yes, I think we win no matter what.

Not true. Season ticket holders can sell their tickets on the secondary market. CU has a deal with Seat Geeks that allows season ticket holders to sell their tickets. That said, I’d imagine if you want top dollar you sell them on something that allows you to name your price.

What are you saying is not true? He never said season ticket holders could not sell there tickets and was only commenting on the size of the secondary market.

The Fan sucks ass, but I turned to them when 92.5 had a commercial this morning to play my favorite game of 'are they talking Buffs or Broncos' and the guy on there had a good point. These kids believe. They believe in Prime and his message. When he first got here, he'd ask the players to repeat something and they'd kind of haltingly mumble it. Now these guys are repeating him instantaneously without being prompted. They listen, they respond, and they believe. It's fun to see.
