OFFICIAL CU vs. ASU game thread 10/7/23

The team who showed up today looked dramatically different than the ones who played TCU and U$C.
I think this is why we’ll see more movement than expected after the season. Even some who may seem like big contributors. Prime has alluded to this and said as much. Much is laid bare and revealed during tough wins and big losses, Prime sees all

Want to bet that game will end up the most watched PAC12 Network game ever ?

They don't handle physicality well. USC and TCU are soft teams. Arizona State isn't soft. They suck but they aren't soft. Colorado is a weak team with great stamina and is in excellent shape. That's why you rarely see injuries and they do their best late but are weak, get bullied easily, and are weak. Oregon, Nebraska, and ASU were all physical with us. Nebraska turnovers lost them that game, especially the QB's TOs. We lack strength. We need to recruit bigger players.

Obviously Colorado has line deficiencies.

A lot of those bigger players have other options and I’m sure wanted to see how Prime and his strategy played out this year. It’s worked. Fully expect to start pulling those bigger players this recruiting/transfer cycle. A full year with Coach Mo is going to make a pretty big difference next year too. The gains that the players that came in in January were evident.

Coach Mo looks good but the health of the players and they are in such great shape but man, they are weak but a lot of them also lack size.

Not looking forward to that Oregon State game

As an unbearably smug asshole… the way we rub it in and flash the watch after a win brings me such mirthful and vindictive joy. All the old f***s can shut their mouths about “flash”. Nah, flash anything/everything and always remind the poors why you’re superior
Shedeur’s very cool but who the heck wears a watch anymore? Flashing a watch seems kinda nerdy and 1990s….

I started as a freshman at CU in the fall of 2012. Tonight was the Buffs' 10th road conference win during that time frame, two of which came during the COVID season. So, I won't spend any time dwelling on the negatives. This team has real deficiencies and we knew that coming in, but 6 wins is my goal, and we are on target for that at the halfway point.

I think Shedeur was the most important factor in the win tonight. His stat line was just okay, but he stepped up and made a big play every time we needed one. With a QB that good, you can never totally count the Buffs out. I also think the mental toughness and the never-quit attitude is a real strength of this team. Yes, their deficiencies are getting them into these tough situations in the first place, but so many teams wilt and let games get away from them when things are bad. Those two strengths - the QB play, and the mental toughness to stick around in games - should keep this team competitive and fun to watch for the rest of the season.
