Not like the D has to defend any kind of run other than an extremely delayed dive mesh point or anything. Numbers yes but there's zero creativity

Ok, but if you have no intention on changing that...and you are getting killed with it over and over...and the players AREN'T getting it right...it seems a bit of a surrender then to have no tools in the toolbox to do anything about it. I mean, why shouldn't every team we play do (basically) the same thing if we aren't going to switch up what we do, and if our players (for whatever reason) don't "get it right"?
I love this whole season before tonight, and everything our coach has brought with him to our program. I am not going to let one game ruin that. I watched the coach's post-game press conference and I worry a bit that he might be prone to the traditional thing coaches who were superior players sometimes fall into: wondering why other people can't just be great too. But time will tell. I still have high hopes, and I still feel we are FAR better of than we would have been with almost any other coaching hire we could have realistically made. Coach Prime will get this turned around.
DNVR has the best content because they are fans with media credentials and we’re able to get the inside scoop and interviews because of that. But also because of that, they are strictly cheerleaders who have to play that role or risk losing the Neely connection.
All the better to give your offense the advantage by having them know exactly what they need and possibly be able to use a 4th down. It’s not a debate. Prime isn’t playing 4D chess here. He’s making dumb decisions as a coach
Exactly. I listen to them everyday, and sometimes I have to laugh about some of their takes.
Coach Hart got ability. I seen it at JSU. He just got the weakest room by far. JuJu is his only good LB and he's a headcase
He didn't get the spots to get guys in the portal. We had bigger needs. But everyone got a lot better. He just got better when JuJu came. Gant was expected to be good for us but he's been decent at best. Woods is too small and doesn't really know the position. The rest are just rotational at best. He got a tough hand. Say what you want about the OL, you still got Wells and Tank and Savion when healthy.

But they are being handed the ball in a standstill, there’s no momentum, and it seems half the time it’s the qb read whether to hand it, which means the OL is blocking for what? Pass blocking?
Because they can’t make up their mind between Shilo, Slusher, Ward and Cam. They have 4 guys who are running out of eligibility and they have to get them all playing time. I truly think that’s the reason
I don't believe that's a dumb decision. I believe that's knowing your personnel. He and his staff made many dumb decisions, that one isn't one of them
So, the offense has over 530 yds, Shedeur throws for 5 TD's and has like 70+ yds rushing...
Meanwhile, the Defense gives up over 500 yds to STANFORD, 46 pts in a 1/2, five 12 men on the field penalties, no adjustments at all, the middle of the field is wide open evert game...
And some folks on here are complaining about the offense? This offense that scores almost 40 per game and averages 450 yds a game is the problem... not the defense that gives up 46 points in a 1/2, one of the worst performances in college football history and the complaints are with the offense? Please!!!!

And this is why the Head Coach is there to win 1-3 games a year with pure gamesmanship and savvy. Throwing the ball in hurry up to start the second half was stat padding and running up the score and not winning football

This feels like the case at a few positions. Prime explains it as these specific personnel packages, but the team had FIVE penalties for 12-men on the field. Everyone is clearly confused.
Same thing with weird ass RB rotations
Those QB RPOs are our best running plays. It's the RB draws out of shotgun that's going nowhere for us. I hate RB draws out of shotgun, those aren't the best to run in the NFL much less college. When you got a QB with the ball handling of Sanders, you should be so much better at the run game. The lack of under center runs drives me crazy about this damn offense.

You’re not acknowledging that having the ball second gives you an absolute advantage of knowing what is needed and an extra down if needed. That’s a fact. The ****ty defense was going to have to get a stop regardless, but Stanford was always going to get 4 downs to score a TD instead of 3.
There's no other way to spin it other than a bad decision. As TS said if you trust your offense you trust that they'll get you whatever you need every single time and KNOW what is needed. You rather put the game on the line for the D to get a stop on a 2 point conversion over the O? Hell no.

Deion sanders explanation about the kick out of bounds was a little alarming. Im paraphrasing" they get it at the 20 so it's moot point" something like that and didnt se a problem.Really weird response
The defense was gassed.
The offensive playcalling didn't keep the defense off the field when that should have been our focus. We didn't play time management till the end and we did it poorly.
The offense is the easiest to blame because we have the personnel.

Actually I didn't understand, why was it at the 20?
I feel like this is the "transfer play" year, but after this it should settle down and more concrete things happening and solidified positions/roles. Too many players that you may have promised some burn to, but it just creates distinction amongst everyone and these bad, head-scratching plays, players on the field. Next year, how many RBs will we have? It feels like 5 this year.
He was right on that one. The kick out of bounds didn't hurt us. Because of the penalty by Stanford, they spotted the ball at the 20 instead of the 35. So it didn't hurt us in terms of field position. Stanford committed a roughing the holder which meant we kicked at the 50. We tried to get them to get it at the 1 but if we missed and it went out of bounds, it wouldn't hurt us. It was a smart decision. One of the few.
That was actually legit. Apparently the penalty is actually 30 yards from the kickoff spot and not automatically at the 35 yard line. So when they were kicking off from the 50, Stanford was going to get the ball on the 20 whether it was kicked out of bounds or a touchback.
I think he was saying since they got it at the 20 with the penalty it was okay. If they had a touchback they got it at the 20
We have the personnel to not give up 46 points to the 97th ranked offense in efficiency - and also on O against the 122nd ranked D in FPI
