Is it me or does this bowl season suck?

I can not get throw even 1 quarter of most of these games if I even bother to turn it on at all. I need the Buffs or the Canes to get good again so I can start caring again I guess. Maybe its the young kids in my house (3 & 5). Maybe Im just getting old. :sad1:

Things are starting to heat up. Alamo was a good game, Holiday last night was pretty interesting, Chick-fil-A should be good tonight.

It is just you....the games have been decent. Are you in a bowl pickem? That tends to make it more interesting.....

I fliped the Holiday on in the 3rd quarter but the kids kept getting out of bed so I never really was able to get into it and ended up shutting it off before it was over.

I am not in a pick em this and I agree that is helpful.

I'm loving the bowl season. Boise State/TCU was a one-point game. Missou went into overtime and Okie Lite featured a ****-ton of lead changes.

OSU has doubled Pitt's offensive output and leads 3-to-0.

Great stuff in my opinion!

It's been hard for me to watch the bowls, knowing the Buffs aren't participating at all. Last night's Holliday Bowl was the first one I've paid any attention to all season long.

The Sun Bowl has been the worst game I have seen in a long time....

Just you.

Despite the buffs not being involved, the games have been outstanding. BSU vs TCU, OSU vs OU, Mizzou vs NU, and the CSU game were all great.

At least you can watch the buffs play basketball. :brick:

I haven't sit down and watched a full game yet, but a big part of that is that we're all off on vacation now and we've been spending alot of time playing video games and either going to or watching movies. When we're just kind of hanging around I usually have one on, I caught that last 10 minutes or so of the AF game today. I'll sit down and watch games tomorrow, especially the Rose Bowl.

3 to zip Sun Bowl. I enjoyed the game, but it's the lowest scoring game I think I've ever watched.

Try betting heavily on every game. I mean betting to the point that you won't be able to put food on the table or pay the mortgage if you lose. Even if it isn't close, you always have to worry about the spread.

I guarantee you will start caring again:thumbsup:

It sucks and not just because the Buffs aren't in it. The match-ups have not been very appealing to me.

Call me an elitist but I just can't seem to summon any excitement to watch a well known team play a Central Michigan, Troy, Northern Illinois, Western Michigan, Hawaii or TCU. Even though several of these "no name" teams are decent and an equal match for their marquee opponent the match-ups sound like a pre-conference cupcake schedule match-up. I guess this is one of the results of parity...

The "Real" team usually wins anyway.

As we approached the New Year the games are getting a bit better. I watched the 4th qtr of Vandy BC and only the 4th qtr. First game I've finished so far. :smile2:

Party I was at last night a lot of the dudes agreed with me that most of the games so far were ho hum. We agreed there were too many bowls and this whole thing is a bit watered down. I will watch the Rose cause I want to see how Joe Pa does against The Fighting Petes.

I would watch these games if they were part of a playoff system and they actually meant something... As it stands right now, what are they playing for in the Poulan Weed Eater Bowl? Does the winning coach get a free weed eater?

Bowl games suck now a days. As of right now I can't tell you who is even playing against each other in one bowl game except that Florida plays Oklahoma. Other than that, I can't tell you what the name of the bowl game is other than I am sure it isn't the Rose since the two conferences that prevent the playoff system from happening are playing in that one.

Well said TB10.

I love college football so I enjoy watching whatever games I get a chance to watch. But I have a hard time getting interested in the games involving teams like Troy, Central Michigan, La Tech, etc.

Ok, I was under the impression that all the games would be over this weekend with the championship game decided Monday night.

WTF? They go on all next week too with the final game on 8 days from now?

Whatever argument these "anti playoff" people had about playoffs taking too long is totally out the window. A 16 team playoff would take 4 weeks. It would be over by now if they started the first weekend of December and they could have taken a week off in there too for the holidays.

It is time to start a 16 team playoff with all the conference champs getting invites and then the rest of the 5 spots filled with whoever is highest ranked that isn't already in.

I am boycotting all these stupid ass bowl games and going snowboarding.

16 teams is WAY too much. Would totally ruin the regular season.

I do agree its dumb that the Championship game is next week.

Well, its 12:28. If you are going snow boarding, you'd better get your ass in gear!

Yea I don't know why they wait so long to play the championship game either. They did something even more stupid last year when they had the chance to play the game on a Friday night because there weren't any games on Friday but waited until Monday night instead.
