If we're talking football it's got to be UCLA - it's only a matter of time for our old friend.

If not exclusively football, then my money is on Kentucky - Calipari always seems to be pushing the ethical boundary.

I guess the question has to be which program will commit an NCAA violation that will be investigated and punished by the NCAA. The top two schools on that list, USC and OSU, blatantly thumb their nose at the NCAA and nothing happens as a result. The Reggie Bush thing alone should have put USC on a three year probation with multiple scholarship losses. Shockingly, nothing ever came of it.

My money is on UCLA. It's only a matter of time before Skippy implodes.

The absence of KJuco on that list now that Snidely has returned is a travesty. Of course, they seem to fall into that list of schools that somehow never gets nailed for anything.... But the question is next school to COMMIT a violation...

I'll go with 'bama. I don't think they've gone a whole year without a violation since the early 30's.

with the negative reverse karma we've got, i am going to write in "CU" as the likely choice since we have now double-jinxed ourselves with this thread.

it will probably be something uber-serious like feeding walk-ons and it will be branded a major with a lack of institutional control thrown in.

meanwhile, ohio state, free shoes u, usc, ou, and the entire sec will continue to laugh as the ncaa makes an "example" out of dear ol' CU.

:sad1:

What exactly did USC do wrong in the Reggie Bush deal?

Players and families do stupid, greedy things all the time.
Can you blame the school for that?

Pete Carroll is one of the most upstanding men I know.
He doesn`t need to cheat to get the top recruits, he just needs to choose.

the technical answer is that, under the ncaa rules, the schools get "blamed" for the actions of their parents, players, and boosters all the time, whether the staff or admin are involved in the activity or not. it is our perception that a different standard is applied by the ncaa to some schools (read: superpowers who get great tv ratings) and other schools.

That is going to be a tough row to hoe on this board. CU regularly gets hosed by the NCAA for 'infractions' that get overlooked at other schools. We lost a scholarship for self-reporting a training table violation.. a violation that was removed the very next year.

I'm sorry, but Carroll simply HAD do know what was going on with Bush's family and that agent. If he didn't, he wasn't paying close enough attention.

Are you serious, Clark?

You`re talking about food, right?

What happened?

there are no two ways about it. UCLA. are the rest of you kidding me?

you must not have been around from '95 till '98 and had a buddy who was a huge UW fan.

UCLA is a friggin slam dunk if there ever was one.

friggin amatures....:smile2:

walk ons were eating at the training table. pretty lame.

actually, it is even more ticky-tack than that.

the value of the meals provided to the walk-ons exceeded the permissible value allowed by the ncaa by like a buck or something. we self-reported this (which would never have otherwise been caught and which other schools literally laughed at us for reporting). the ncaa decided to hit CU with a loss of schollie for this. 2 months later they decided this event would no longer be an infraction at all.

equal justice?

compare and contrast to the academic stuff w/ maurice clarett at osu or any of a series of events at free shoes u.
