I would have to say Simmons and Nuckols. Kasa, Grossnickle and Bonsu will have a great shot as well, Don't think any others will see PT this year.

Simas...he might not meet your definition of the word "newcomer"...but he's yet to see the field as a Buff, and that qualifies for me!

Well, ya I agree that he will, I did mean freshmen, and Simas has been here for three years, but I guess you are correct he is a newcomer in he hasn't played yet. I am lookign forward to him.

Simmons. Ussery. Nuckols.

Howzabout guys like Major and Rippy. Do they count as newcomers?

out of ussery and darden, one will see the playing field this year i believe. i really hope darden impresses, we sure could use his size in the redzone.

I think Bonsu is going to have more of an impact than Nuckols (who we still don't have confirmation of getting past the clearing house and enrolled). Bonsu has been in Boulder, is 298 pounds and comes from a great program in Texas. Kid was a steal. This is no knock on Eddie, but I think Bonsu makes the most immediate impact of the incoming frosh.

Wait a sec....I thought leash was talking about the 2009 season but the poll asks about '00. So I'm changing my opinion to Marcus Houston:smile2:

Freshman wise....i'll swing for the homerun and take the 100-1 favorite and go with Deji Olatoye...ya never know???

Simmons was brought here specifically to fill a void at WR and make an impact this year, so I'll go with him.

The rest are freshman and you just never know how they'll shake out.

Technically I meant the incoming freshman class.
I guess that excludes Simmons, the #1 vote getter?:smile2:

I voted for Nuckols. I belive, given the position, he may well have the greatest impact, but perhaps not the most visible. Simmons, perhaps will have the most visible impact.

Because if he does not produce at WR our offense is going to suffer. We need at least 3 solid WRs. Simas, McNight and Simmons. All the other wide outs are inexperienced and pretty much walk ons or have changed positions. You never know what your getting with a freshmen so I hate to count on one of them.

let's hope espinoza can add some quality time as well. he's got the speed to stretch the field, and is pretty strong, we all know his biggest problem though.

Simmons. Sounds like he'll replace Smith as our deep threat. Simas has gotten rave reviews, but he'll need Simmons to take some of the attention of opposing secondaries to be successful IMO. A WR who can stretch the secondary and keep defenses from packing 8 in the box to key on the run will be huge for this offense.

Man are we going to be razor thin at WR this year. We better not have any injuries there, or we're sca-rewed. :afraid:

We're thin at WR, but the talent is there for the first time in a long time. I am really anxious to watch both Simas and Simmons.
