What bowl will CU go to this season? Try to go with your brain not your heart. I know many will want to put national championship, and if you truly believe that, then good for you vote for it! but if you don't think CU has a chance at that then go with what you really think.

Holiday. Your head is going to explode. I'm leaving saturday for 2 week vacation, when I get back Fall practice will be rolling.

My heart says Cotton or Holiday, my head says Alamo. This team still has a lot to prove. It's all potential right now.

This team will make a bowl game this season, I went with "other" to many questions still on this team and also in the Big 12......GO BUFFS!!!!!

I refuse to be rational in July. After the Texas game I might be persuaded to change my vote. But July is for crazy.

Alamo is still a pretty good bowl. To be honest I will be dissapointed with anything less than Alamo with our schedule. 8+ wins SHOULD get us into Alamo at worst.

Alamo is usually a decent to pretty good match-up with the Big 10. the problem with the Alamo is that all the South/Texas politics comes into play. if the bowl is choosing between an 8 win CU team and an 8 win ATM or Tech team (hypothetically speaking, not predics for this year)....CU is probably on the outs since the Alamo people know they can sell out to the local teams...and it makes Texans feel good to have more Texans around.

Gator, actually indicative of a slightly better season than would the Alamo (see selection rules below).

Holiday Bowl voters (currently leading 20-18 over the Alamo Bowl) think we are going to finish ahead of OU, Texass, and Okie St?

From Wikipedia

  • #1 Bowl Championship Series. The winner of the Big 12 Championship Game receives an automatic berth to a BCS bowl game, preferentially the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl.
  • #2 The Cotton Bowl receives the second choice of Big 12 teams.
  • #3 The Holiday Bowl The Holiday Bowl receives the third choice of Big 12 teams.
  • #4-5 The Gator Bowl, Alamo Bowl and Sun Bowl receive the fourth and fifth selections on a rotating basis. The Gator Bowl gets the first pick between the second Big East team and the fourth Big 12 team. If they choose a Big East team, the Alamo Bowl gets the fourth Big 12 selection and the Sun Bowl gets the fifth Big 12 selection. If the Gator Bowl chooses the fourth Big 12 team, the Alamo Bowl receives the fifth Big 12 selection. The Gator and Sun Bowls also have the option of selecting Notre Dame, as long as Notre Dame is bowl eligible and not playing in a BCS bowl.
  • #6 The Insight Bowl receives the sixth choice of Big 12 teams.
  • #7 The Independence Bowl receives the seventh choice of Big 12 teams.
  • #8 The Texas Bowl receives the eighth choice of Big 12 teams.

Perhaps, but in reality, it would probably be more of a situation where the B12 gets two BCS teams.

I voted Holiday. Past that I'd hope for Insight because of location. Good area to be in around that time of year, and I may be able to make the game.

My heart says Holiday but my gut says Alamo. Even if we were to win 9 games, the bowl picking order may mean the orgnizers pick a team that they think will bring more fans and not who has the better record.

The thing is I bet we would get a decent following of fans to the Holiday bowl with our big alumni base in southern California.

In most normal years it should but if there's a cluster of 8 win Big XII teams they'll go with whatever team will travel better.

Interesting. I voted Alamo, but I might go with Gator after reading that.

I'm thinking OU and Texass both end up in the BCS. Okie Lite goes to the Cotton Bowl. The North winner will go to the Holiday (sadly, I'm picking us second in the north....). I was thinking we'd be next in line and get the Alamo, but now I'm thinking we go to the Gator and the Alamo gets to take a South team (Tech), which would make them much happier...
