Solder is now 6'-9" and 305. I've always heard that it is tough to play the O-Line if you are tall. I guess its a leverage thing. Anyway, I harken back to the day of Too Tall and The Mad Stork. What kind of D Lineman would Solder be with his size, speed, athleticism, and reach?

Jonathan Ogden was pretty good... I think he'll do fine on the OL:thumbsup:

Tony Boselli was 6'7" - 6'8" and did pretty well, outside of the exceptions this thread is named after I would bet that the average DE is getting taller over the years.

The thing that the height gives an OT is with his long arms he can hold pass rushers out at arm length and keep them from getting hands on his body. As long as the pass rusher cannot get his hands on the OL's body very few of his moves will work.
At his size Solder should be able to simply hold guys out at arms length and/or steer them around the outside of the pocket. If he develops like I think he can he is going to make a lot of money on Sundays.
