Has Joel Klatt and Bobby Pesavento co-hosting the show. Klatt is clearly a lot more polished and comfortable behind the microphone. Bobby is sitting in for Nate Krechman.

I have to say that I'm impressed with Joel Klatt on the air. He speaks clearly, doesn't stumble over his words, makes a point but doesn't beat the listener over the head with it, and his opinions are based on facts. I think he has a real future in broadcasting if he wants it. Bobby, on the other hand, needs a little work.

Anyhoo, I thought I'd throw that out there. It's cool to have a couple of former CU QBs on the air.

Agree abotu Klatt. I watch him on Altitude and FSNRM and he is a very polished speaker. I also think he would be a good coach.

This statement alone proves that he has no chance of a serious career in the media.

Joel is also going out of his way to not sound like a homer. :sad2: I can't figure if he is down on CU because he wants cred or if he really believes CU sucks.

He's probably interested in having a more successful broadcasting career than Jon Knutson.

Klatt is a class act. He did color commentating for the Nebraska-KSU game for FSN pay per view this past year, and he's got a very bright future in the business.

I love the show. Klatt is the most tolerable person to listen to talk sports, period. And as DBT said, he's not a homer, just calls em like he sees em.

Joel is a proud buff
Don't get me wrong. I really like him and his show. I'm from Arvada too! I just wonder if he is being so critical of the team this year because he feels a little pressure to not come across as a homer. I think his assessment of the Buffs is a bit too harsh, so far.

BTW, is he a full time media guy now? I thought he was dabbling in real estate sales or something.

Maybe it's because I don't listen to the show every day, but I haven't noticed him being overly critical of the Buffs. We all know we have question marks on the team.

And with the success he's had doing the media stuff, I would think he'd be looking at doing that full time. He's good.

Pesavento on the other hand was WAY critical of the buffs last year on KOA post games. I thought he was out of line. Yes they sucked, but he had never done the research on this whole injury thing. Sure, you should be deep enough to withstand some injuries but he didn't even know about the buffs only having 6 linemen a year before for spring ball and that they brought in 7 freshmen O-Line guys the year before. He didn't know that they lost 6 key scholarship O-linemen from Aug 1 thru the FSU game last year (for the season). Yet he sat there and took pot shots at the staff. I won't forgive him for trying to "further his career" by trying to be he Buff who fiercely calls for Hawks head before he has the facts. Really lame in my opinion. I hate it when guys say "injuries are part of football". Fair comment after Hawk's recruits are 4 or 5 year guys, but not last year when most were RS-F. Put your head in the sand and fail to dig deep.... great.

Klatt on the other hand isn't a homer and has been a bit critical at times, but I think he's been fair. He always is prepared to back up his views. And he is definitely polished and I wouldn't be surprised to see him on ESPiN in a few years.

Would be cool to see Klatt take over a certain homer buckeye on college gameday!

Never happen. There's already one Buff in that group. Unless they get rid of Chris Fowler (never going to happen), they won't be putting another Buff up there.

Why wouldn't they? If Klatt is a prime candidate for the job? Who cares where they went to school.

As an interim step, I could certainly see Klatt become one of the top color guys (booth or studio) for Fox's college football coverage.

Politics. Klatt may be terrific (and he is), but there are lots of terrific sports guys out there that wouldn't disturb the balance. Plus, Herbie would have to do something epicly stupid to get booted off the program, or quit. I don't see either happening. He's got a great gig.
