Does anyone know what to expect on Sunday?

I have no clue. I'm always so optomistic that I lose objectivity. As I posted before, opinions seem to be all over the place regarding this team. Looking at the depth chart, we still have a lot of youth, especially on offense. But I believe our skill level has greatly imporved from last year. Man, I'm starting to feel the stress level go up. You know? Nervous anticipation and all that.

I say we come out with a bang and walk all over CSU! Can't wait for the season to start man it's been a long off season!

I expect us to establish the run game then play action the hell out of the goats! I expect 2 or three plays longer than 40 yards.

I won't say I'm expecting it, but this is what I am hoping to see. A strong running game will make Cody look like a much better QB.

We need to run left, run right, and run up the middle and if any of that fails, we need to run left, then run right, and then run up the middle. We need to assert the offensive line and allow our talented RB's to make plays and take pressure off of Cody. Make CSU put 9 in the box and then destroy them with play action.

55-10 or so. i think the Buffs will toy with them and score at will.

I expect complete and utter domination. The Rams have not improved since last year, the Buffs have.

I think it could even be said that CSU has regressed somewhat. They lost four big time playmakers on offense. The loss of Brewer on defense is going to hurt a lot, too.

Going to play devil's advocate for a second. What evidence do you have that the Buffs have improved since last year? You can't say injuries because that wasn't true against the Rams. Until the Nebraska game last year I would say the evidence on the field is that we regressed during the year. Spring & Fall scrimmages don't count.

I'm not saying you are wrong. I am just tired of thinking it'll be different this time. I want to see proof that this team is substantially better than last year.

Maybe I'm saying the same thing as DBT.

I expect a thorough ****stomping of the sheep****ers from the north.

I'm thinking it will be close for the first half and then we pull away in the second. I'm thining 41-21 CU, we'll see. I also think we rush for over 200 and pass for over 200 for a balance attack but then again I nay be FOS.

-Nate Solder was in his first game as a LT last year.
-Rodney Stewart barely played against CSU last year
-Cody Hawkins has another year of experience under his belt. We also have a 2nd experienced QB in Tyler Hansen. CSU will have to prepare for 2 different QBs.
-Experienced depth at TE
-Demetrius Sumler really started to emerge late last season. In my mind, there is no doubt that he was a more effective runner against Okie State and Nebraska.
-No Brian Lockridge last year
-No Ben Burney last year; Overall the CBs are much improved
-Better depth at LB'er this year

I'm sure you could come up with a similar list of negatives, but there are a few positives that should give you confidence going into this game (as a fan).

Well, you seem to in the case of Mizzou, so to answer your question...yes...

Lets be honest, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Mizzou will be much worse than they were last year with who they lost. CSU is actually in the same boat as Mizzou, they lost a lot of playmakers.

If CU is truly ready to play, this should not be much of a contest. This should be the biggest stomping of the rams since 2001.

Experience, gelling, and better chemistry on the team. CU is waaaay more talented than the rams. CU is out for revenge from last season. I might actually feel a little sorry for the rams after the game.

I'd be surprised if CU can put up at least 40 points based on last year's performance on offense. SHOW ME!

And, on paper, that's all awesome. I do believe the Buffs should beat the snot out of the Rams this year. I guess I'm just nervous until we actually see it all come together on the field. I'm just tired of going into the season with high expectations and being disappointed.

Yes, they are and this should be a blowout but how could you possibly feel sorry for the Lambs?:wow:

i'm expecting to have a nice little buzz going around 4PM...

i'm expecting to see ralphie towing her handlers around folsom about 40 minutes later or so...

i'm expecting csu to be subjected to shock and awe after that...

and i'm expecting to see sacky enjoy a post-game red stripe.
