Have Chuck Neinas come up with a list of 5 names that I could call at the end of the season.

look for another job..

In all seriousness, I would let the season right out, look at the record and keep my eyes on Hawk's recruiting.. If its bad like it was in 2005 then I might consider making a change..

Anyone who chooses option D should be automatically banned. (And yes, this applies particularly to you fusker and lammie scum... )

I would start formulating a list of candidates and keep a close eye on the on-field results.

Don't like the option. How about wait out the season and then determine what needs to happen. If he goes 8-4 + a bowl game I am not so sure I would be so ready to fire him.

I would wait until OOC is over and if he is 1-3 then he needs to go.

Here's how I would play it out:

At the end of the season, I would take advantage of the 1-year contract situation for all assistant coaches. Simply put, I would tell Coach Hawk that he would no longer have hiring authority for assistant coaches, that the AD and a booster committee would be choosing his staff for the remaining years of his contract. Much like what happened when Alabama pulled this on Bill Curry, Hawkins will resign under those restrictions. I could then hire whomever I wanted without paying the buyout.

See how the season goes, but get some candidates in the on deck circle.

BTW, where is the poll to get rid of bohn?

I'd wait to see how the season goes. I'd also let Hawkins know that I will be monitoring results and that what happened Sunday is unacceptible and that he had better do what it takes to turn it around, including evauating his staff.

We can't afford another bad year of recruiting. As much as I want to see Dan coach without the worries of being a good dad, we can’t wait. College football is fickle, and we have been out of the picture to long already. New recruits want to see a program is dedicated to winning.
