The definition of insanity: doing the same thing and expecting a different result.
We all like Cody as a person and wish the best for him, but his time is over. After B Jack and a 2-10 year we were happy to have someone with some QB skill. Unfortunately, Cody has struggled his whole collage career, and (from a skill level) is one of the worst QB’s in the Big 12. He could turn it around and become a great QB and I could win the lottery. I think both those things would be great, but not very likely. If Tyler is not any better than Cody, then the Buffs should be getting the next QB ready. Evans or Lobato should be being prepared to take over this year. Flopping back and forth between Cody and Tyler for another year is an unacceptable solution to CU’s QB woes. Ohio State didn’t worry about burning a year of Pryor’s eligibility, because they wanted him ready for the next season. A Bowl game is not a good enough goal for the Buffs. If this season is another mediocre year for the buffs, then get started early prepping the young players for a big run the next year. If we start next year with a completely green QB and WR’s, then statistically we are in for another mediocre year. Don’t forget two years of poor recruiting is bad, three years is devastating. The future is now.
If Dan can’t make the hard decisions of playing the best players and not the ones he and his staff like the most. Then he needs to go ASAP. If Bohn can’t make the hard call, then find an AD that is committed to winning. If Dan wakes up and smells the Coffee, then we as fans need to back off and give him the chance to improve the team. Dan made a good start on rebuilding this team; don’t let that work go to waste.
