I'll say this, we all have passion, don't we. The trouble with that is that with passion comes emotion. Depending on one's personality, we express our emotion in different ways. The thing is, we are all united in the focus of our emotion. That focus is THE BUFFS!

I'm kind of bummed that I got booted to the Smack Board.

I agree, the end of it is we all want cu back in the top 25 and to see a consistent exciting good football team. All the losing seasons has made me bitter in this football world.

A win vs WV would be big for this teams psyche and confidence.

I win vs WVU is not out of the question (although not easy), and it would go a long way to salvaging the season. Beat WVU and Texas? Well, now we be talking :smile2:

All I'm gonna say is that if we want to beat WVU and Texas (I'll be at that game to cheer the Buffs on), then we'd better put our talent on the field because the 3 yard curl route to Espinoza will get us nothing

I don't disagree, and I'm not a Hawkins fan. But I'm always hopeful that we can catch lightning in a bottle!

I hear ya!! :iagree:

I think we could agree that our 2001 team definitely caught lightning in a bottle! I remember the College Football Live crew (it may have been Reese Davis if I remember correctly) that season saying simply that "Colorado is playing the best football of any team right now"...that's what we need!

I want another national championship.

Is that selfish?

It will get you 3 yards. :smile2:

It will get you 3 yards.

It gets us 3 yards against inferior defenses. Jury is still out whether we'd even get that against the speed & size we're about to face.

How's this for Hawkins' play calls: 1st down: stretch run from Sumler for 0 yards, 2nd down: curl route to Espy for 3 yards, 3rd down: overthrown ball by Cody. 3-and-out and we punt. Then Texas gets the ball. That's what it gets us.

Isn't it sad that Hawkins play calls are that predictable?
