He's going to be in the booth during the 3rd inning tonight for the Rox game on FSN RM. I'm not expecting any revelations, but I'm curious what he'll have to say.

Gotta give props to Bohn. Say what you want about his coaching hires, but since he's been the AD CU coaches have had a lot of media exposure in the Denver area(the good kind).

For those of us in OKC who paid extra to get FSNRM, but, get ****ed and they blackout all the Rox games, keep us updated as to whats said!!

i totally agree. we may have been aced by Toledo and CSU, but we were on national TV when it happened. a team poised to "breakout" and win 10 games couldn't have asked for more.

Been talking up how young and inexperienced we were last year. 1 senior and 1 junior. He said that we hit the wall and pointed out that 11 of our losses were by an average of 4 points short.

He also said that as many as 3 of the new additions may start this year. Didn't say who.

Relphorde would seem an obvious one. But the other two would be true freshman...... If we're starting 2 true freshman then....... ummmmmmm....

 Last year Men's Hoops were on TV more times than any season I can remember. Those 8:30pm tip off times sucked, but they were still on TV at least.

I really don't see Tomlinson starting this year. He was really, really bad last season. I can see Sharpe or them moving Thorne in the PG spot. Maybe he'll turn it around.

I don't worry about true freshmen starting in basketball like I would in football. If you can play, you can play. Just look at how often a rookie is the best player on his NBA team (or at least is immediately an effective starter).

I'm thinking it'll be Sharpe, Relphorde, and Burks. I'm really excited to see what Burks does on the court, and Sharpe could easily take over the point - at least be backup to Thorne.

I would think so - that's assuming that the rumors about him growing to be 6-6 are true. If he's retained his athleticism during his growth spurt, then yeah...stick him at 3. Sharpe (or Thorne), Higgins, Burks, Relphorde, and either Dufualt or Crawford. I would put in Crawford, and let Dufault be the first one of the bench. ??others' thoughts?

We have a lot of good options to play now. Our G situation is pretty solid with Higgins and Thorne. Assuming Thorne moves into the PG spot.

Has there been any talk about Thorne?

I still think Tomlinson is the starter at PG unless Sharpe can take it away. Never felt we were better off with Thorne running the point. Even Higgins had turnover issues when handling the ball last season.

Same with us in Dallas...Beochhhhhh! At least I was able to see the one Buff Fball victory of the year against WY, by signing up.

I like Dufault over Crawford, and Tomlinson over Sharpe(for now) and Thorne. Agree with the other 3 assuming Relphorde and Burks are as advertised. I could see Crawford being used to get some points off the bench.

Thank you, btw.

Sweet....let's talk Buff basketball. It is about time. Forget about Buff football for the forseeable future. How many wins can we expect for the Buffs (basketball) in the Big 12?

I would just like to see Thorne start. He's a Sr. this year and he's one of our best players. Coming off the bench isn't the worst thing, but looking at our PG situation, I don't think Tomlinson or Sharpe is really better than Thorne.

i'm not a huge fan of those 8:30 tips (it's 9:30 in most of the conference..when the sports writers are too drunk to see anything)....

but yeah. Bohn hasn't ****ed us. we've played on national TV every game but Wyoming and now WVU.

that's great for growing the program, recruiting nationally, returning the national fan base to CU etc. except we lose.

Great point....I see the Buffs more down here than Baylor, Tech, and A&M...

Plus we're playing in Maui. Thanksgiving week's gonna be sweet this year.

:yeahthat:Brilliant post! I have been getting more geared for basketball earlier than usual due to CU sucking so bad this year on the football field.

11 losses by an average of four points...I think CU can shoot for a .500 season or better this year if they can reverse that trend.

Wouldn't that be kind of funny if the MBB team at CU had a breakout season while the football team came nowhere close to that?

I'm hoping we start to see the Foam Dome become a hostile atmosphere for visitors this season.

They should start by moving the students behind the visitors bench. Have contests each week to see what student groups can be the most disruptive during time outs and give them the seats directly behind and around the bench. Give the students a job during the game to increase campus interest.

Knowing our students, I'm not sure if that's such a good idea.

I think it's an awesome idea. I'm praying for the day when college basketball announcers/writers are talking about the "Coors Crazies". :smile2:
