So don't watch. I LOATHE seeing us lose again and again and again but I'm a Buff till I die. To paraphrase Secretary of War Rumsfeld: you don't always go to war with the army you would like to have or would hope to have in the future. Cody is what we got. Support the players man.
 
i support the players, and im more than a little suspicious that the majority of the players dont approve of cody. so... bench the ****er. hansens not going to make a difference in this game, but this HAD to be done. coulda been under better circumstances, but its about damn time.
 
While I find this post pretty much despicable, I also find the "don't criticize any players" line of thinking utterly bizarre. These guys get a ton of perks from being on the team, including a free education and a stipend. It's not like this is little league baseball.

Criticizing players is fine. Where does anyone say we're against that?

Exactly! It's fine to criticize the players for their play but calling them douchebags is way out of line.
 
I personally don't like to pile on a players performance. But that's me. I think Cody played like ass tonight. The early two TD's he threw for was mainly Kiesau's playcall. jmo.

Being real Cody has really always played this way. He is what he is. The difference has been that he's been able to pile up some meaningless stats in garbage time. You know me valdez, I've always been down on him as a player but I'm really surprised at the level of vitriol that people are directing at him personally. Like you said, internet tough guys.

I have no issues with any of your posts. You make a good argument that has proven me wrong about Cody. I thought last season was a Soph. slump. WRONG! :lol:

The first TD was in spite of Cody. Great catch on a terribly thrown football.

I've seen many on here say you shouldn't criticize the players. Not directed at the site at all. Also, obviously personal attacks are pretty idiotic, especially when those who engage in them almost never personally know the person they are directing their vitriol at.

Yeah im sure you could go out there and win the ****ing Heisman. Im insulted personally to see you saying this **** about a kid. One that absolutely played to the best of his ability, it wasnt good enough. The fact that it wasnt good enough doesnt change what this guy has had to go through. He did his best and that is something u cant put a price on. You are a ****ing prick pure and simple.

I couldn't disagree more. That catch happened right in front on me and it looked like a great catch on a well placed ball by a TE who had Texas player covering him quite well.

Cody should've placed that ball in the corner. Devanny almost overran that ball. That's why he pretty much caught it on top of his head. The poor pass allowed the safety to put a nice shot on him.

It's is funny how TV and live can make a play look so different. Don't doubt what you are saying, but live it sure looked like a great throw and catch.
 
Yeah it definitely took it's time to get there which allowed to safety, who was completely out of place, to recover and make a play on the ball. A nice pass would've been less of a bomb and more or a laser to the corner of the endzone. Still though, Cody got the job done and I certainly wasn't about to complain at the time.
