Is hansen "the guy" from now on?

Ringo also reported that Kiesau said he doesn't want to have a revolving QB situation like last year so it's Hansen's job. I'm sure there will be more in the Sunday Camera.

I'm sure he will get a fair shake, but what happens if he proves inept? It seemed like this is what happened last year, until they brought Cody in for the second half of the ISU game.

I just hope they let him throw the ball. It seemed like they never trusted him last year.

that's kind of thing isn't it....Cody is the hero for beating Iowa State in Boulder.

hooray.

If Hansen is bad, leave him in. I don't know if they will, but he needs to show whether he's the guy or we need to find a Plan C for 2010. Putting Cody back in does nothing for us.

Clark evans wear todd marinavich pajamas to be ironic

I sure hope he's the guy and that he gets a fair shot at the position. At the beginning of the season, the thinking was that Tyler wouldn't play/burn the RS, unless Cody was hurt. The fact that the coaches burned Tyler's RS without Cody getting hurt makes me think (hope?) that he'll at least get KU, KSU, and MU to prove that he is or is not the man at QB. After that, I'll at least feel like he's gotten a fair shot.

I know these coaches have done some weird things, but you have to assume they'd lose the team entirely if they don't let Hansen play this season out after promising him the redshirt.

Obviously, I don't know what's going on in the locker room, but seems like I'd lose trust in my coaches if that happened.

You are right. I think they are already dangerously close to losing this team.

How close are the Buffs to losing the fans?

I don't think the Buffs will lose the fans that easily. But Hawkins has already eroded his support by a lot. I would say coming into the season Hawkins still had 75% of the fans behind him. That number is down to 30% or less.

Hansen must play from now on, period. Hawkins burned his redshirt for the 2nd consecutive season, and owes him that. Regardless of how he plays, he must play every down unless he's hurt or it's a serious blowout. We know absolutely who Cody is, and he can't get it done.

I was really surprised at the number of fans we got to the WYO game. Fans or not, Bohn really got butts into the seats. I was impressed.

They havent lost the fans but ill be real honest here. Wins shut critics the **** up period. We havent done that but the season aint over yet, the guys that showed up tonight can beat Kansas. We owe Reesing's ass.

Why would we have lost the fans tonight?? Thats beyond me...if they hung on this long, tonight doesnt strike me as the night to quit. At all??

And Tylers the man the rest of the year. All year. Barring only injury.

He has to be. If not, this staff is officially making it up as they go along.

Woelk's article this morning quoted Hawk: "We`re going to get him(Hansen) in there and he`s going to be the guy," Dan Hawkins said. "Cody wants to be a coach. He`s going to learn what it`s like to be a coach."

The move looks final to me.

The move is final. Cody's been told he's sitting for the remainder of the year, barring injury. Lets hope TH steps up...rooting for him!!!

The Denver Post article had a quote from Kiseau who said that Hansen is now the guy, and they aren't going to be wish-washy like they were last season.

Hansen has to be the guy. Dan, for all his faults, is not stupid.

Burning Tyler's redshirt for the second season in a row means he MUST start the remainder of the way.

Yes. I'm very confident that Hansen will remain the starter. I hope the kid is ready.
