Re: '11 TX QB Dexter Foreman

I was gonna say somethin cuz he wouldn't be 192 either, but I assumed SB was joking.

Re: '11 TX QB Dexter Foreman

Is this the QB that said he would visit for the Mizzou game?

Re: '11 TX QB Dexter Foreman

CU stepped up with Dexter's first offer. I like getting in early on these guys. They never forget which school was the first to offer them a scholarship.

Rivals article

Texas A&M's gonna be tough to beat (and he's liking the attention from Miami), but it sounds like we're right there:

"Colorado and A&M stick out to me the most," he said. "They did better with what they had and they were very young teams. It may be far fetched but I expect them both to be top notch in the big 12 next year. A&M had a lot of freshmen and sophomores on their defense, they got another year of experience. It's the same with Colorado, it was full of freshmen and sophomores. And just recently I saw that Miami had something on ESPN which really showed their swagger and history and that stuck out to me as well."

Ranked by the UT rivals site as the #56 player in the 2011 class.

Re: '11 TX QB Dexter Foreman

Foreman has named a Top 3 of Colorado, Texas A&M and Miami.

"I have an early top three of Colorado, [Texas] A&M and Miami," Foreman said. "Those schools really stand out to me."

What makes them stand out?

"Well, growing up in Texas you are a Big 12 fan," Freeman replied. "Once Colorado offered, I looked more and more into them and I noticed that they run an offense similar to the offense I run in high school. I really enjoyed watching them play. I was supposed to visit already but the plane ticket prices are pretty expensive. I am definitely going to take a visit there my senior year, no doubt. I am looking forward to going out there, especially since their stadium sits in the Rocky Mountains."

Foreman's pretty high on us according to a new Scout article. He'll be visiting CU:

He has visits lined up right now to Baylor, Colorado and the in-town Houston program.

*************

In this case, I believe that joining the Pac would hurt us. He's looking at programs like Minnesota and Miami (FL), so he must not be completely Texas/Big12 focused... but I believe when it comes down to it he'll be committing locally or to a Big 12 program.

Supposed to be in Boulder to visit during the week prior to the spring game.

Does he have any offers from other BCS schools? I'm dying for us to beat out some legitimate schools who have actually offered rather than expressed interest. Last class was extremely weak in this category.

I just got a message from Scout that this kid gave us a verbal.
Anybody know for sure???

I like the part in his profile where it says "can be explosive in a game"

Dexter Foreman. Any relation to Marshall Foreman, RB for Arky in the late '80's? I think Marshall Foreman was related to Big George Foreman also. Sounds like an interesting player.

Welcome to the Buffs, Dexter!

Today's Scout article: Foreman headed to the Big 12

“I’ve committed to Colorado yesterday. I went on an unofficial visit over the weekend,” Foreman said.

A Rivals article on Foreman's commitment is expected soon.

I did a double take on this one. Knew he liked us but didnt expect this. Maybe we'll get lucky with the Arizona kid too.

for those of you who have seen his highlights, how does he move?

He is very fast, especially for a big guy. Pretty agile also.

If there's a knock on him, it's that he's got a hose for an arm but he needs to work on mechanics and accuracy.

Foreman is committed.

New Rivals article

"Colorado was the first school to offer and they stuck with me, so I knew there was something about them. For a big D-1 program, Big 12 school like that to still say that we see something in you and we want you. That is great. They always stuck out to me. It is a big relief off my shoulders."
