UT/OU game thread

this is a very interesting game, OU comes in with two loses and Texas needs to prove to the nation that they are for real....I think Texas is still bitter that they beat OU last yr, but OU played in the NCG....Texas wins this one

I'm picking UT even though I haven't been that impressed with them this year. But OU has lost their only 2 tough games this year.

as bad as texass looked against our defense im calling an ou win

OU over UT.

UTs secondary gets exposed (only bc OU got Broyles back).

Musberger incorrect in the pregame saying Stoops was at one time 5-0 against UT. Stoops lost to Mack in 99.

Who is going to win the ground game? I say neither team runs the ball well, but OU has a good short passing game to win (similar to TT).

UT didn't blitz like this against us. Muschamp blitz packages are well designed. Collins needs to get in touch with Muschamp. Beautiful playcall.

Bradford is out. Jones is in. Go OU! I want to see someone from NM succeed at this level, even though he picked OU over us.

Brown is trying to get the run established again, but this time against a better D. We'll see how it fares.

Oh and this UT "punter" is going to shank at least 3 punts today. Book it.

3-0 OU, hey we scored a TD on our first drive, take that Sooners!!!

I was going to say:

"So a TD is worth 3 in TX/OU. That sucks...:smile2:"

But then I reread your post and I'm not quite sure if you were being serious or not. OU scores and you say, "Take that OU" I think I'm missing something.

Shank punt #1 and almost #2. I say 3 shanks is a conservative estimate.

A Nub buddy at work pointed out how funny it would be if OU wins today, then gets another loss in conference but is in a 2-way tie with UT at the end of the year. OU then would go to the Big XII Ch game and likely on to the BCS bowl with 3 losses.

I was joking, but we did score a TD on our first drive against UT, while OU couldn't.

Man, OU is dominating this game but they've had to settle for 2 FG's and missed a 3rd. If they end up losing a fairly close game they'll look back at that first quarter.

Having said that, OU just turned it over.

Wow a little love from ESPN for good ole CU. NC reference, its only play #29 but still a reference.

hmmm.... OU basically took our defensive gameplan, improved it, and is just destroying UT's offense.

now i see why we stopped them a few times
colt is locking onto shipley too much. they need to go away from him until OU stops double and triple teaming him. On a couple plays UT receivers have been wide open but Colt is just locked in on shipley and throws it into tight coverage. Plus, they really do suck at running, and OU is one HELL of a defensive team.

i think UT still comes on to win this one in the 2nd half (which opens up offensively--which favors UT with Bradford out) but did the Buffs maybe rattle the Horns a bit?

I don't feel as bad about how our running game looked last week. UT's front 7 is flippin' nasty.
