WR Getting Open?

To anyone at the game or access to better angles than were shown on TV:

When TH was scrambling around back there for what at times seemed like 15 seconds, were the WR really getting no separation or was TH just unable to see them and pull the trigger? Last week vs. KU some of the biggest plays came after TH scrambled around a bit and then hit a WR, but we didn't see much of that yesterday.

Cody saw guys open, but he under-threw them, over-threw them, and was reminded coming off the field that the Buffs were wearing white jerseys today...

I was at the game yesterday and Zimmer was correct. What bothers me is that they don't know what to do once the play breaks down. Numerous times yesterday I saw receivers just standing around while Tyler is running for his life. Whoever is coaching the recievers needs to be replaced. Oh, wait juicebox is the coach. Need I say more. What a cluster f.

They haven't had to practice doing things when the play breaks down because for the past two years when the play breaks down it's either a sack or an INT.

"Getting open" and "being seen as open" are two different things, and that showed yesterday on the field. Because Hansen & Receivers are prevented from working with each other on a prolonged basis, the WRs don't have a clue where his "first line of sight" will be. That just takes time.

Coach Hawkins thinks that, in 5 or 6 more years, Hansen and the receivers will get a chance, at some point, to practice a few times together for this contingency.

In the meantime, Hawkins thinks Hansen is doing a great job and that we'll see his son playing more and more.
