Is there a worse program in America?

Ask yourself honestly... is there? This football program looks bombed out and depleted. I've been sitting here just shell shocked at how low we are. The team has just quit. Why sugar coat it? They quit. I don't blame them for quitting on a moron like Hawk but you'd think personal pride would come into play at some point. Maybe it did during the 1st half of the Texas game and the win over KU but I didn't see any today. Where do they go from here? I'll never stop loving the Buffs in the abstract but I can't invest any more emotion in this particular trainwreck. I know I'll still end up watching the rest of the games but in near apathy. Hawk has succeeded in killing all of my hopes for the program. Misery accomplished.

Are there worse programs in D1...yes...we are definitely not the worst...but we are rapidly moving towards that bottom half....and the worst part is...once we get there...we might be there for a while.

we suck ass, we may not be the worst but with Dan Fairbanks it looks like we are close, we are about to POP into the best of the worst. :sad1:

Illinois is no better. Don't know if they're worse. Their accidental win over so-so michigan notwithstanding.

I don't have enough confidence to say that we could beat any team in another BCS conference. Washington State looks pretty awful and has a true freshman starting QB, maybe we could take them. The Big 10 always looks pretty craptacular, maybe we could sneak a win in vs Indiana or Illinois. Don't think we can beat anyone in the SEC. Even the ACC scares me, possibly take Virginia though. We could probably compete in the Big East. Definitely can't take Pitt/WVU/Cincy/USF, but we might be able to take down Syracuse and Louisville or something.

either way, any team with CU on their schedule isnt worried about us as long as Hack is the HC.

Cu will not beat the aggies, they have won 2 straight and have improved.
CU will not win at Iowa state..road game.
CU will not win at okie state..see road game.
CU will not beat ****braska at home because suh will dominate our OL and force 6-7 turnovers.

2-10 in year one, 2-10 in year 4, no way bohn can keep him for a 5th year.

I honestly don't even want to see what Suh is going to do to our OL. I just feel bad for whoever is playing QB at that point.

I see Washington State and Baylor as the two BCS programs with the least upside for finishing 2009 strong. CU is #3.

Oh yes, plenty of worse programs.

Look at U-Virginia. They lost to WILLIAM & MARY! Al Groh was a hot-product going into the program, and look what he's done! He spent the entire off-season planning to wipe out little Wm & Mary, and loses big-time to them.

Now, he's lost to DUKE. DUKE. As in FOOTBALL.

I'd say "Wm & Mary", "Duke" and "Temple" are the three worst programs in the history of football, but this year Temple has actually got a winning record. "Once every century..."

I nominate Virginia as The Worst Program this season. Baylor is performing down to it's traditional levels, too, and earns the Clearly The Worst Big-12 Program (yeah yeah, they complain about injuries but a QB doesn't give up KO Returns, give up multiple 100-yd rushing games, etc.).

Coach Hawkins is working towards Worst Program status, but I don't think he can match Baylor in the Big 12. He needs to be losing to Wm & Mary, Temple and Duke to start his push towards that next level.
