He has just sat down at the podium with a stack of papers/notes...

Despite the score... blah blah blah blah, the usual...

"Grounds crew did a great job getting the field ready to go..."

First player comment... "Rough day for Tyler" hmm...

Pretty up in the air on whether Kasa will get this year back...

Good job with Jaffee, and hopes to get Simmons at PR.

A&M is really electric, one of the best offenses in the country, QB's and RB's, and juice at WR's

What can you do to get your team started quickly?

A: We've got a couple things up our sleeves... but you've seen we start fast every practice.

Dammit that means we will try an onside kick to start the a&m game.

Fake FG question...

A: "Well, again, it's just one of those things that we just have to do a better job as coaches. But we did go over it, and we were yelling from the sidelines..."

"We knew what was going on, and we called it. We thought that was the play they were going to run."

NOTE: He seems much more relaxed today. Smiling, joking, etc...

Helps when the reporters are throwing softballs at him, but, definitly different energy in the room today.

He likes to see the heart and passion on the field, or at practice... but didn't like their out pore after the game, it's gotta happen during the game.

"Lot of kids redshiritng that really could have helped us this year."

Ringo: If they could have helped why didn't they?

"Depth... good players in front of them... etc.."

I realize that a team probably won't win on Saturdays if it has awful practices all week, but does he really think we're going to buy it anymore? Nobody cares how awesome Tuesday practice was if Saturday game was a disgrace.

Jon Major..

"Those other guys are playing more consistently better..." I quoted that.

He's done.

Very short, about 20 minutes.

The reporters don't want to deal with him anymore... doesn't look like any players speaking today.

I can't really argue with the decisions the staff has made with the LB's. Cabral is THE most consistent producer on this staff IMO.

Like I said... the Reporters are just as much fed up with his BS and lies as we are. They don't want to deal with him anymore.

I continue to wonder aloud how DH can save his job. He's alienated (a) former players, (b) a majority of the fans (c) apparently the media and (d) has not gotten any love from the Buff Godfather in a while....

About the only thing he could do, is do the thing he hasn't been able to do. Win.:sad1:

I would like to see Major more. When he has played, there was definitely good and bad. He looked fast and explosive (great closing burst), but he also had trouble with getting himself lined up and knowing his assignments. Since he's probably going to start next year, he needs to get more reps this year. Otherwise, we're probably going to run into what we saw this year with Cunningham's slow start at DT.

I think it's time for coach to start looking at next year. Thinking of Major in particular. Smart, Mohler and Burton are gone next year. I can hear it coming already. We are going to be really young at linebacker. With Rippy getting hurt he is losing valuable playing time.

I don't understand the redshirting thing. If you have players that can help your team, why the hell are they standing on the sidelines. He better get them on the field because he may not be here long enough to see them play.

Is there a logic problem here I'm not getting?

Hansen's fumbling snaps..

"SOmetimes I get down on my knees and look up in there..."

Too much, so much it doesn't need a comment, just repeating.

This is an example of why this guy never says anything with any substance to it and you can't believe anything he says.
Redshirting players could have helped. Why didn't they play? Because of depth and good players in front of them.

Well, hello! If there are better players in front of them then how in the hell would they have helped? Just more circle talk from the pivot man.

I will agree with him on this one. I was watching the sidelines, and our bench was screaming and pointing. The sidelines knew what was coming. What's most disappointing was that we didn't just burn a TO there to reset things and make sure the guys on the field knew what might be coming.

btw - thanks for the recap on the press conference!

That is exactly what timouts are for. They failed miserably, especially since they saw it coming. This is the difference between 3 points and 7.

It's always the little things. Just need to clean those up....

Seriously....are the players as a whole that stupid that they continue to make mistake after mistake.

Something doesnt add up....there is always so much confusion and hesitant play. They must be getting mixed messages all the time in practice.
