Say Bohn fires Hawkins before all the paperwork for DS' transfer is complete. Furthermore, say that whoever comes in to replace Hawkins is able to have a sit down meeting with DS. Can DS change his mind? Is it too late for that now?

no, it is not too late. he's probably going to finish up the semester at CU for eligibility reasons. this is all a pipedream however.

yes too late. Scott puts emphasis on family, where his Uncle and Mother fully support his decision to transfer, plus his gf will be graduating from CU next dec. no point for him to reconsider staying if you and your coach communicate through texts

Pretty sure it's a done deal.

But you do know that it will not happen, right?

I thought of this pretty quickly.... no way tho, would the team even take him back?

It would be nice if we could get scott to stay but I think he's ready to move on regardless of who the new coach is..

Too bad the Vikings are good and are looking like they will go deep in the playoffs. I bet EB could get him to stay.

Why would it be nice? The kid doesn't want to be here, it's all good. If I was a player on that team, I would have a bigger issue letting him come back after he quit by text message.

Letting him back would do more harm than good.

Sack, I'm pretty sure Hawk, Hagan & Co have plenty of other top recruits flooding into that now-open scholarship. Or rather, the soon-to-be-open (your "paperwork" issue) scholarship...

Ithink it's crap that people are saying he QUIT....Players choose a school partly from promises made by the recruiters and head coach. I think those promises were broken early and consistently by Hagan and Hawkins.
Scott hasnt gotten a real shot and knows that he wont for the rest of his career with these jokers so he had to look out for number 1. He also could tell that this coaching staff, especially the HC, are in WAY over their heads and have no clue how to develop talent.
I think LOSERS stay in LOSER situations...if you can better yourself going somewhere else then all the better. I dont believe the players should take a bullet for a coach who has no clue.
I would bet he still has positive feelings for the University of Colorado as whole but just cant stand another minute to practice and play for JUICEBOX and co.

Can, yes. It's going to be ironic that Scott's impact on CU Football is going to be far greater by leaving than staying. The coaches made decisions about his contribution level. He's making decisions for his future.
