This whole DS thing will be way over blown in the print, radio, and television media. Just like the Marcus Houston defection was. Same thing. The kids in the program knwo the true story and the recruits know the true story, whatever that may be. The biggest problem with recruiting is not DS, it is the record and the tenuous nature of Hawkins' tenure here.

Disagree - this is very bad for recriuting. Recruits don't know **** except what they're told - about themselves, about other programs, etc.

It may hurt in a case or two. But the kids on the team and the recruits share TMs, don't you think? I'm sure the kids on the team are getting "the truth" out there.

I think the recruiting repercussions will be felt quite strongly. We get most of our big time recruits from southern California and we just blew it with the best one we've got out of there, ever.

Scott transferring after how he has been handled is no surprise to any of us, but why he's wanting out of here somewhat surprises me. I think it's a combination of Hagan being a very stubborn coach, Smith leaving and lack of PT.I thought he was pretty friendly with Hagan after being recruited for 4 years, guess not.

He may not have produced like some of you wanted, but you have to play a guy with that kind of god given talent. Terrell Pryor is not lighting it up at OSU like most thought he would, but the coaches are playing him because if he turns the corner and plays like he's capable of, a BCS championship is possible.

I can only hope that is as good a thing as you seem to think it is....
