Simas and Ryan Miller...

Simas was awesome today and that catch by devenney was great. Stewart looked good getting yds on his own.

Our OL is awful and Ryan Miller should not be starting. Solder is right behind him.

Bryce Givens was the difference maker that no body noticed today.. He was a mauler out there today, and I feel really ignited the offense in the last 1 1/2 quarters.

Also, our biggest runs in the second half were off tackle to his side.

As for Miller, he looks like he's running in mud. :sad1:

I don't think any of our OL should be starters. LG play has been really awful this year. Solder at LT hasn't been great at all. Center play has been really bad. RG/RT with Miller and Givens playing have been the only semi bright spots. Today it looked like a total team effort on offensive line failure.

It is the entire line but miller stands out ,especially today.

I don't know, the one fail I'm thinking of by our RT, not sure if it was Miller or Givens, was inside our own 20 and Tyler rolled into the pressure for some reason. If he just stepped up he would have been fine. Not giving Miller a pass as he had some dumb plays, the leg whip.. but I wouldn't put all the blame on him.

He gave up 3 of the 4 sacks today and has not lived up to the hype. He was better last year and as a freshman. But, hawk loves our OL and special teams coaches :sad2:

Well I'll take your word for it, jeez 4 sacks? Pretty awful. He wasn't nearly that bad the previous 2 years was he? Not a good job of coaching by Johnson.

It's something we see with this staff. Players don't improve over the years.

Miller got blown up several times for sacks including one early were he stepped up to make contact and the DE went right by him. He needs to play better.

Just wondering......if Miller looks like he's running in mud and he's getting beat off the edge, is it possible that there are lingering affects of the broken bone? How did his run blocking look?

Oh, and nice to hear that Givens was in and doing well. I was kinda worried that the "unidentified" issues he had might have been a prelude to exiting the program.

I tell you what, I brough the bonocs today and you guys are right, miller is struggling. Will someone light a match in his ass? Get goign ryan, you're better than this! WE BELIEVE!!! IN YOU RYAN MILLER< WE BELIEVE!!!

There were a few plays where Miller was out today at weird times. 77 was in there, not sure who that guy is.

Anyway, I think we're hampering that young Buff by having him play on his heels. F that, have him charge forward like a Buffalo does. This pocket protection stuff is garbage. We don't have the personnel.

I've met Kiesau. I like Kiesau. But he does not get it. Passing blossoms from the running game, never vice versa. NEVER!

Wrong. Plenty of teams pass to open up the running game (see Colts and Pats). However, to do so you need a good QB and solid WRs. It's easier to run block than pass block which is why people get the impression that you must run to setup the pass. Either is fine as long as you are good and consistent at what you run.

Tyler may be that QB, but for now he isn't. His 40+ yard passes today were a damn good start. You have to be able to throw the long ball to setup the run. Dinks and dunks don't.
