What does the fine print at the bottom say? I am assuming it has to do with the asterisk next to Hawkins and Fairbanks

I can read the middle to last part, it says something like Hawkins is a full 8 places ahead of the worst coach in CU football history.

text at bottom reads:

Please note that the entity in the #2 position is a solid eight(8) places ahead of the former consensus "worst coach in CU Football history*"

Am I the only one bothered by this? Hawk, while a flawed coach, actually cares about CU and really does want to win here. Neuheisel is a prick. There is no way Hawk should be "more hated" than either Neuheisel or Tom Osborne.

:yeahthat:

I have not reached 'hate" level with Hawk. It's more a feeling of disappointment that it didn't work out.

I don't hate Hawk. I hate what he's done to CU football. Semantics, perhaps, but I'm able to separate the two.

:stupid:

I can appreciate the humor behind the sign. But I'd really hope nobody would mean it literally. I don't hate the guy, although my admiration for him as a person has dimmed with some of his comments this year. But hating him more than Osborne??? That's just ****ing wrong!!!!! :wow:

While it may be a bit harsh, I don't think people really "hate" DH. Three years from now, DH won't even be in the top 10. It's just the disappointment that makes the feelings ugly right now....

If by "disappointment", you mean "upsetness", then you're right.

He is because he is the current occupant of the corner office in Dal Ward and is therefore present tense. Dr. Tom and Slick are past tense. Hawkins will find his rightful place on that list sometime after this debacle comes to a close.

My biggest problem with Hawk is his inability to recognize that things are REALLY bad right now. It seems like he doesn't get the fact 2 road wins in 4 years in completely unacceptable at any level. He thinks that fans wearing blue is an attack to everything CU and not to his incompetence as a coach.
He seems complete oblivious to all the fans frustration with the program. And if he does understand our frustration, then he has a poor way of empathizing our concerns.

It's kind of like when my dad was teaching me how to swim. He would stand at one point, I would swim to that point and then he would start to back away the closer I got. Hawk keeps telling us how close we are and then he loses a game he should win. The only difference is that Hawk does stop moving backwards while the program drowns.

Exactly. No one is thinking about the rest of the 10 because they aren't current. This is another example of people saying things that are a little out of line because of high emotions right now.
