Or so the title on the main CFB page says. I don't have insider so I can't tell you what it says but just giving you a heads up for those that do

the headline says AD denies internet rumors that he is already interviewing coaching candidates....

What do you expect Bohn to say? U bet your bottom dollar he has been talking to potential canidates but not going to come out to the media and say he has!!

my point is, based on the headline, there is nothing new or exciting about this "rumor"...

I think someone at ESPN has been reading this board and posting as breaking news what we have already discussed.

Bohn cannot talk to anyone currently working without permission, right? You'd think that if he was asking for permission, it would slip out somehow. Maybe he has agents like Neinas doing it for him, I suppose.

Honestly I don't think he has had any real conversations with anyone. My guess is he is trying to get a list together of potential canidates. That is probably why (if) he met with Shannahan, was to get his take on any NFL guys.

Everything else is pure speculation. Rumors have Bohn canning Hawkins this Friday after the game.

I think you need to read between the lines. Bohn said he has not contacted anyone. That does not mean that someone else might not have. By the time we get a list of candidates they are pretty sure all of them will take the job. Being turned down by a coach is embarrassing to a program and they all try to avoid that.

I'm very surprised nobody has mentioned this part of the article yet...

Bohn said that no decision had yet been made about Hawkins's future with the Buffaloes, and that he had no timeline in which to do so. "Our efforts are in creating an environment for him to be successful," Bohn said of Hawkins. "We are putting every ounce of energy, support and effort into creating an environment for us to be successful. That's where our focus is."

Meh. The insider article basically just repeats the footballcoachscoop.com "news."

I think we may all be getting ahead of ourselves by assuming that Hawk is gone...

I really don't, and I think that quote from Bohn is probably pretty much what he has to say until the actually make the move. But until something actually happens, I guess we don't know for sure...

The fact that even ESPN is hearing rumors about Shanny and the buffs...

Yeah, but they're not. I'm as excited about the possibility as anyone, but I should have made mt first post in this thread more clear. The ESPN article cites footballcoachscoop.com for the Shanny rumors. So, nothing new really.

Shanny turned down the Skins on Snyders Global Express as it was parked on the ramp at Centennial. Old news from about a month ago.

Besides, no one builds a house like that and then moves 6 months after moving in. It's either CU or he sticks to the steak houses.

From what I hear, and it's not Pissbomber inside knowledge or anything close, Hawkins is 100% gone. Doesnt matter what happens. Probably Friday.

yeah but you have that radio....

try making that prediction in real time.... :smile2:

No way Shanny is going to Washington to have Snyder micro-manage. That's why Dallas is probably out of the picture too...unless Shanny has totally done a 180 doesn't want TOTAL control.

So Shanny has to be President of the University as well?

Or just Chancellor?

We can offer that title right? or is that another buyout?

Man there are so many issues with buying people out... maybe we need to go to one year contracts for everyone :)

The thing that is most exciting about the Shanny possibility, is that of all the NFL coaches that have come back to the college level, he would be by far the most successful NFL coach in history to do so.
