if he is bought out.

He was not able to have success here, but he doesn't strike me as a guy who will complain about it.

He will find a positive in this and go with it.

It will be interesting.

I can't imagine that he would go negative. It's simply not who he is. But I could see him saying that he still believes he is the right man for the job and would have gotten it done if we'd been more patient.

Honestly I don't know. At first Hawk struck me as a nice guy, but with his recent arrogant attitude towards fans and media, I wouldn't be surprised what he woudl say.

The guy's getting $3m for failing, can we all stop patting him on the back and congratulating him and pretending he's such a great guy? Ride off into the sunset, don't let the door hit ya on the way out.

I think he stays on message. We were doing it right, it was a deep hole to get out of when we got here, just did not get enough wins and you know, the little things just got in the way. We brought our lunch pale everyday and worked hard. We had the best 4 years of practice! Lalalalalalalalalalala.....

Maybe you misunderstood the post.... There was no congratulations....

I don't think he is going to call you a sh!tty poster on his way out!

I think he will leave with class, but on message along the lines of what buffalo brad said. In the end, he and his family seem like great people. A lot of risk and reward that goes with the job and the risk caught up to him. I feel bad for him in a way, but i also think he built the expectation for this year to be THE year we make our way back. 10 wins is BS, but 8 we would have accepted, perhaps even 7 with a solid bowl win. That and the lack of fire we hear about in the locker room is what does him in for me. I do wish him nothing but the best if we do part ways. He did build a solid foundation for a program that does things right...now we need to start winning.

No, but he's basically called all of us ****ty fans with no knowledge for the game!
For better or worse, the fans really only are responsible for one item of "football knowledge"; how many W's there are in comparison to the L's. The rest is really on the HC. In that respect, the last 4 years do not measure up no matter how difficult the challenge was. The fact of the matter is, Hawk aggressively took on the challenge and has been found wanting. People try and fail at many things in every endeavor. Hawk may have better luck at his next challenge. We now need someone else to give it a shot. I think Hawk will have left enough of the building blocks behind to allow the next HC to be successful.

As long as he is gone now I could care less how he acts on the way out of town.

This whole thing is sad, to me, at least. I don't like to see anyone fail. Especially the HC at CU. Well, I have made exceptions to that sentiment. Callahan, for instance.

"We'll See." Seriously though, he'll accept it with dignity. I think he will be much happier elsewhere.

He made out like a bandit, and he's set for life. His work was completely unacceptable, a failure. He should get down on his knees and thank CU.

and pelini, but no one else. Except Holtz, ok, no more. Well there's Tom Cable and Todd Haley, but really is it. Oh and every coach of a Florida team in every sport. But seriously that is all...

I think hawk being let go will actually be good for both parties. He has aged so much in the last 2 years. In his press conferences he seems to be losing some sanity. I think that the CU job was just too big. He will be a good coach again just at a lower school or as a coordinator.

Why the sour grapes to Pelini - all he did was do all of the things that Juicebox shot off his cakehole about? He came in and turned around their program immediately. I hate Nebraska, but don't understand the logic behind your statement? He did very quickly what Hawkins never came close to accomplishing.

I think thats his point. He wants him to fail because he is the head coach of the ****ers.

you hate Kneelbraska but don't understand why I want their coach to fail? Let me see if I can clarify my position for you...

I want the entire Suckbraska program to fail.
I want all of their coaches in all of their sports to fail.
I want all of their teams in every sport to loose every game.
I want their entire football team to get some curable disease that makes them have to forfeit every game every season (no one dies, just can't play ball).
I want the University to question the necessity of an Athletic Department every year.
I want the state government of that ****ty state to develop a plan to melt the NU stadium down and sell it for scrap to cover the cost of ghonorea vaccine for all their fans.
I want godzilla to use their campus as an outhouse.
I want to ban the color red in the continental U.S. with the exception of the flag and flag related items.
I want Obama to consider the need for bailing out the University of Numb-braska because they fail so miserably at everything.

are you getting the picture?

I want Nebraska to fail, but I'm just being honest when I say Pelini did all the things Hawkins was hired to do. Just because we hired a douche bag doesn't make Pelini one - that's kind of tarded. That being said, I hope he loses every freaking game left this year and in the future.

roll tide... that is all

Fair enough but that isn't what I am saying. Pelini being a douche is completely unrelated to the fact that we hired a douche. Pelini is a douche of entirely his own making. I have no idea about his long term history but he became a douche the second he started wearing a ****head-red hat.

Umm, Nebraska has a chance to win a very crappy division - that's "all the things" who was hired to do? My expectations are much higher than that.

Pelini has done a good job, but he has a lot of work to do, they still have a craptacular offense, and when Suh leaves next year, he has soem challenges on defense.
