ESPN reports Bills to talk to Shanahan

We need to move on Hawkins right now.

IF -- and I know this is a big IF -- Bohn, whether through Vickers or someone else, has reached out to Shanahan and there is interest there, we need to fire Hawk ASAP and get in front of this train. I'd hate to have a chance with him and lose him because we haven't yet fired Hawk.

he might end up in the NFL.....but I highly doubt he would take the Bills job. I would be more worried about Chicago or similar situation.

It was only a matter of time before the Bills called Shanny up after they canned Jauron yesterday.

The Bills? Hmmmm, depsite being like a 150 years old, it seems that Ralph Wilson likes to meddle a lot in the coach's business. Not sure if Shanahan would be up for that. I see Wilson as being in the Snyder and Jones mold of control freaks.

Plus Denver/Boulder >>>>>>>>>>>> Buffalo

Hmmmmmm. I think we should ask ourselves "What would Bud Adams do in this situation?" :finger2:

Maybe Shanahan said he wanted to coach the Buffaloes and ESPN took it as he wanted to coach in Buffalo.

even I would have confused the 2...

I think you are on to something....

This is the one NFL position that I think would give him total control over football operations, and that worries me that he will accept it.

The pressure and meddling in Dallas and D.C. with unrealistic expectations isn't something I think Mike wants. I bet he seriously considers the Bills if they approach him, since he can put his stamp on the entire organization and any success he has will be much more appreciated.

I still hold out hope that the Buffs can entice him.

I wouldn't worry about this, IMO Bohn has already made up his mind on Hawkins one way or the other - I don't see these last 2 games changing his mind. If Bohn is talking to other candidates, it's because Hawk is gone.

Plus he can do better than Buffalo if he's determined to stay in the NFL.

I would be surprised that he would take this job where would you begin? I think if he is itching for the NFL then it would be Chicago or Dallas where you at least have talent.

The report stated.....

"The Bills contacted Mike Shanahan and he said HE WILL LISTEN"

Unleash is 100% correct!

Not unless Wilson decides to kick Marv Levy to the curb too, which is highly unlikely IMO....

If I stopped suddenly, your nose would go right up my ass with how obsessed you are with me.

This shouldnt be much of a surprise to anyone imo. I actually expected this might happen yesterday. I still think he doesnt end up in Buffalo unless they give him a deal that he cant pass up. Saying that, I think we are kidding ourselves to think Shanny is gonna coach at CU. Since I have been watching CU, the University has done some things that absolutely made me scratch my head. They still do that alot or it at least has that feel to me. I wouldnt be a damn bit surprised to see Hawk retained after this year. That is the kind of **** CU does to make anyone scratch their head so it wouldnt be shocking.

Hawk is here until 2012, people are just gonna have to deal with ****ty football

You are afraid of guns and you live in Philly? I took a gun to Hoop it Up tourneys in Houston and Dallas, I was afraid not to.
