I only see 2 for sure wins, and I really shouldn't be calling any game under Hawkins "for sure."

CSU @ Invesco: Toss up. Two ****ty Colorado teams, who knows anymore what to expect, rams will be ready.

@ Cal: L Road game, Cal is much more talented.

Hawaii: W should be a win anyway

Georgia: L Dawgs will be improved next year

@ Missouri: L Tigers will be better with Gabbert having more experience.

Baylor: Toss up, if Griffen is healthy, look out for this one.

Texas tech: toss up, we have Tech's number, only reason its toss up and not L.

@ Oklahoma: L Sooners will be stronger and wont look past us again

@ Kansas: L road game, haven't won in Lawrence since I don't know when.

ISU: W home team usually takes this one

KSU: Toss up

@ Nebraska: L Huskers will be motivated to redeem themselves after '09 loss to buffs.

I'm afraid I do not see any "for sure" wins....:sad1:

I see pretty much the same thing.

CSU: Who knows, neutral field hurts us. Could go either way.

@Cal: Road game, auto loss.

Hawaii: WAC team, Hawk's specialty. Win.

Georgia: SEC team, not looking good. We played them close 4 years ago though, so might be a toss up and Georgia hasn't been too great this year.

@Missouri: Loss, we still don't know how to play against them. Road game also.

Baylor: Our worst nightmare, a dual threat QB. I don't see this as a likely W. Could go either way.

Tech: somehow we have their number, I think it ends next year, their offense is far too similar to Missouri's to not dominate us. Loss.

@ Oklahoma: Auto loss, road game, not much else to be said. Best case scenario we give them a game for a half like the Texas game this year.

@ Kansas: Imo, our most likely road win. Their coach is on his way out so a new coach will be in his place(not an issue against Hawk) and their best players are graduating(Missouri says it's also not a problem). Could go either way depending on what kind of talent replaces their QB and WRs.

ISU: They're on the rise and our games with them always come down to the end. A possible loss especially given how awful our season will be going by then. Hawk could very well be fired at this point.

KSU: Who knows, we should beat them all day long in the talent department. As always under Hawk, a toss up.

@ Nebraska: Season will be in the toilet at this point, Nebraska could be good next year, I don't know. Their loss of Suh is going to hurt really bad. Likely loss.

It is sad that we are talking about 2010 before the season is over. Seen numerous threads about next year already. I am not knocking anyone for starting them - just pointing out the sad state of the program when we are forced to start thinking in the hypothetical again (like every off-season) instead of having to address the actual.

This year turned out completely different than I could have imagined it. I admit, I was caught off guard by how poorly we started the year. Most of the time when you have a bad year you see it coming. Must have had too much koolaid in the offseason.

We will be bad again next year unless something dramatic changes. It has been the same stuff (bad offense, poor play calling, lack of adjustments, playing walk ons, etc) for four years. Not going to be caught off guard again. If there are no changes made, I expect another losing season.

I agree, I was just thinking about Hawkins as our coach next year and looking at the schedule.:wow:

This is going to be a miserable offseason. There is absolutely nothing to get excited about... and I suspect we have not even heard the worst of it, regarding player defections.

I really dont know what to say about next year. I dont ever remember it being this bleek, even with the scandal. I wasnt around in the Fairbanks era so I dont know if that was worse than now?

Sorry to say this, but I think we'll lose every game. Other coaches change things that don't work and make adjustments or the school changes the coach. Under our coach our teams get worse or show no improvement and the school keeps him anyway.

Well, that sure did not take long. The sunshine-pumping has already begun. Should be a really fun offseason!

Looks about right to me. The thing I can't understand, is who is really calling the shots for the Athletic Department? I think it's more the Administration and Board of Regents.
The damage that is going to be done to our program, by keeping Hawkins around another year will be catastrophic.

I was around then. CU fans just basically ignored the football program - total apathy. The last game he coached at CU was a 24 - 21 victory against KSU - home game attendance 23,900.

5-7 and we'll hear how great this team is going to be and when the losses start piling up, how young we are.

my guess is 1.5M to 2M... however there were rumors last night that he had to restructure his buyout to keep his job
