The injury bug stayed away, they had a favorable schedule, there was some good young talent.

and yet.....

it was worst than last season. 2 less wins this season. How the **** is that possible?

I would say it can't get worse, but then I look at next year's schedule, especially on the road. :sad1:

Speedy, Scott, Hansen, Cody, Kasa, Beatty, and others all missed time due to injury. That's not an excuse, but we did have injuries. There is no way we should be 3 - 9. We did not execute.

Last season 4 of our 5 wins were come from behind wins, and one of those come from behind wins was against f**king Eastern Washington! We were not that far off last season from being 3-9 or 2-10 either.

Not surprised at the regression we had this season because last year we were closer to 2-10 than 6-6 even though we were 5-7.

We aren't going to win any road games anyway no matter how good or bad the opponent is. May as well have the easier games at home.

when barney won 3 games in 00, it was like the end of the world. but that team lost to ranked teams OOC.

and please, DBT, no Big XII Championship in 01 equals hawk in 10 spout. ;)

Hey, I hate the guy... I mean I just suggested he should spend the offseason skydiving up at Longmont but I have no doubts that we will be better next season. It can't get any worse, but I really don't see any way this team is better than about 6-6 to 7-5. More than likely we are in the 4 to 5 win range though.

It took Hawk about 9 games or so to figure it out, but we started to finally see the better players on the field and that stopped us from looking like a complete disaster that we saw at the beginning of the year. That alone, will have us starting out that much better next year and will probably lead to an extra couple wins than what we saw this year.

In my book though, anything less than consistently winning at least 7-8 games a year should get your fired at CU.

Good thing they will all be at another place next year so we won't have that excuse anymore. Everyone has ****ing injuries. Not everyone has 3-9 seasons when they said they would win 10 games (oh ****, I forgot, he never said that, we all heard it, but it never actually happened...our mistake...Coach Cawk would never make a mistake, that's ****ing silly).

**** it. It is what it is! the choice now is do we care? I do and no **** I am not pleased, but I can not stop caring about this team and the ****in bull**** "scandal" that over years has be proven to be False. I did not quit on my team then and will not now.

Not pleased with what has transpired but the choice is simple do I quit on them or hope for better? I will stay and bitch and curse and roll around in ice cream and nuts like a monkey in heat when our team does well. I expect to lose now and hope always to be proven wrong. Love you Buff players!

I believe this team received all the coaching it needed to go 3-9. I am pleased we got that 3rd win, actually. I was very fearful that Dan's "10 wins, no excuses" would come true - giving the OPPONENTS ten wins!

I have great faith that Dan Hawkins can coach this team to the next level, as he promised. And "1" or "2" wins will be his next level, it appears.
