heartbreaking fusker losses

Once again, a good chance to beat Nebraska slips through our fingers. These types of games just make my blood boil, I'm at a point where if we lose to NU, I would almost rather it be a blowout. This isn't the most heartbroken I've been, but this one just adds more fuel to the fire in my Nebraska hatred.

My heartbreakers

'88 L 7-0 JJ's fumble
'96 L 17-12 two winning TD's catches dropped by Chris Anderson
'97 L 27-24 rally falls just short
'99 L 33-30 missed winning kick
'00 L 34-32 squib kick
'08 L 41-30 NU's kick
'09 L 28-20 outgaining NU, but stupid **** to lose

Yesterday wasn't heartbreaking for me. We actually played a lot better than I expected.

Looking back over our season, we were probably an 8-4 team that coached our way to 3-9.

It was for me because when the 4th quarter started, I felt we had a legit shot to win that game.

You might get your wish for a blow out next year in Lincoln. N E B R A S K A loses 13 seniors and only 6 of them actually play.

well good for N E B R A S K A !!!!! The only ****ing thing you have in that state and that program is finally showing some signs of life after 10 years of dog ****! Pat on the back for ya

The Shawn Watson effect is in full swing. Your offense looked terrible yesterday. Although, Rex Burkhead is a stud.

Losing Suh might hurt just a little bit. Although, I did enjoy watching him falling flat on his face as Hansen scrambled away. What? No Suhhhhhhhhh chant on that one?

they are bitching about Watson at HPedia, too bad they haven't realized the two truths of the SW:

1. he's more effective when you take the element of choice away from him.
2. he's not happy unless the thinks he's outsmarted the opponent with his rocket science WCO.

needless to say, 1 and 2 are in conflict.

Sounds like someone is BITTER - but cu is 4-5 against the corn this decade.

I see he's installed his playaction rollout play. Man, he loves that play.

The '99 loss was the toughest to me. We were down 27-3 and our offense went crazy in the 4th, then we recover a late fumble with the game tied and drive into FG range, only to miss the game-winner and proceed to lose in OT.

And there you have it. Which leads us directly back to the big elephant on the table.

Doubtful.... The corn will still have a 'real' coach next year. Looks like we will still have Danny Juicebox.

I was not heartbroken yesteday but agree with you about a ray of hope going into the 4th quarter. Then I realized Skwak was on the sidelines and we would blow it. Happened right on queu. Blow the last timeout, delay of game, falt start, game over. The little things got in the way again. Oh well, we will get to see him tighten these things up next year. :sad1:

That wasn't a heart breaker for me. I expected CU to lose that one. I was just happy we covered the spread.

We had some heartbreakers over the years, yesterday sucked but this isnt the Nebraska we used to play either. One thing I have noticed going a long way back, special teams has always killed us against them. We have lost plenty of games to them for that very reason. I won 500 bucks on the 2001 game though. I knew it was time, we had got so close the years before it. It was time to spank them and we did. Besides the Notre Dame game, that one felt better than almost any.

Your bragging about 4-5? Really? My god you ****ers have fallen. Beaten a top 15 team yet?

I explained this notion that sCUm is somewhat relevant because you've beaten more top 15 teams. So, I'll say it one more time. You beat these teams because they over looked you so much more then Big Red. You didn't pose a threat and everyone wants to say they beat Big Red.

Dude, shut the **** up with the excuses, you sound like a retard trying to tell these excuses why NU loses so much. Face it, Nebraska has been mediocre the last 10 years, spin it anyway you want. You still haven't beaten a top 15 team, and don't tell me Nebraska has overlooked those teams. ****ing dumb ass.

Don't feed the troll. Just relax knowing NU fans will be crying after being dismantled by Texas.

I am happy we made it to the CCG, if the H U S K E R S can keep it close I will be happy.

How many days till CU's next game?

This one didn't hurt as much for me, I haven't been around as long as some of you guys have been though. I think after the kick in the nuts that was retaining Hawk, I just expected us to lose to NU.

lol dropping the haha your season is over card. Sure would be nice if we still had a game left. Still doesn't change the fact I think Texas wins by 14.

It's not my hate for the huskers that think they are going to get dismantled. NU doesn't have the offense to hang with Texas. I only see you guys putting up 14-17 points. Your D will keep you in the game for probably a half then Texas will pull away in end. I'm guessing it will look a lot like the CU-Texas game. NU hangs around awhile but final score will look similar 35-14

Unless the Offense the played Iowa stat shows up. Then it might look like a 70-3 type of beating. :smile2:

I love games like last night and last year. sCUm hopes are high as we mess with them and then snatch the win right out from in front of them. Hope your whole weekend is ruined douche bag.

I like games like Va Tech Nebraska. NU hopes are high as top 15 teams mess with them and then snatch the "win right out from in front of them."
