OU vs OSU - Bedlam

I want OSU to win and get to a BCS bowl. More $$$ for the Big 12 and CU needs more cash because the seats will be empty next year (except maybe UGA).

Everyone's assuming that a win here will put OSU in a BCS bowl, but I think Cincy should also be a BCS candidate if Pitt beats them to win the Big East. But OSU may have the inside track because the Fiesta has more allegiance to the Big 12 and OSU will bring more fans to Tempe than the Bearcats would.

3 straight fumbles after a damn good PR by OU for a near TD

how is OU favored by over a TD in this one? OSU is #12, in the mix for a BCS bowl (i guess), and OU got waxed last week.

OSU will guarantee that they'll buy out the seats. Pickens will make sure of it. OSU will definitely go, not saying they are the most deserving though.

That's a big problem I have with the BCS and bowl system to begin with.

OU at home is unstoppable on O. They lay an egg on the road, but have scored a TON at home. OSU's D isn't great.

LOL

ANOTHER fumble. This game is incredibly sloppy.

EDIT: The amount of reviews in this game is outrageous. 4 plays have been reviewed, sometimes multiple times.

it's 11:25, game has been on an hour almost and still 5:30 left in the first

This game is taking forever. 5 minutes left in the 2nd.

OSU is playing the how to beat OU by Nebraska plan. very conservative, let OU wet the bed on O.

No. I think Mike Gundy is channeling his mentor Pat Jones. Jones never beat OU or NU and Gundy will always struggle against OU and UT.

Listening on XM to the OU broadcast of this game while I was out doing some errands this morning. They were saying a Norman jewelry store had run a promotion this month that anything bought this month would be free if OU shut out OSU in the first half today.

I hope they had insurance on that promotion...:wow:

The BCS is getting interesting all of a sudden. I think Cincy's chances of getting in with a loss to Pitt took a bit of a shot last night when WVU beat Pitt. OSU is not looking good at all today. The SEC runner-up is a lock for one at-large spot. TCU or Boise will have one for sure. The way things are shaping up, both of them are probably locks at this point, barring a loss. The fourth at large spot is really up for grabs if Cincy wins next week and OSU loses this one. Penn State or Iowa might have the inside track.... :wow:

robinson looks terrible and OSU looks pretty anemic on O. they got nothing so far. 3 and out after 3 and out.

Gundy is a decent coach but will never be a great coach. OSU is the new Tech (Third in South year after year).

That's a fitting way to cap off a mediocre regular season for the Big 12.

I can't bring myself to cheer for Nebraska in the B12C game, but at least if they were to pull the upset UT I can console myself that by doing so they put about $300k into the CU AD.

Except for this year, when they are 2nd in the South.
:smile2:

how many years has the #2 in the south played in a BCS bowl. OSU ain't doing that.

i was a big fan of Gundy's run/pass/option O, but today the Pokes didn't even look they were trying and OU stuck their man-thing straight in they backside.

OSU has 4 first downs. 109 yards of total O. get shut out.

pathetic.

But will mike come out say; "Hey. 4 years ago. This place. Burnt to the ground. Les left me nothing." Instead I think he'll say he's a man and that he's still 40. And that he brain farted this one.

It was pathetic, but not really surprising. OSU's folly this year was losing the Houston game (in Stillwater) in the non-conference schedule. They could be 10-2 just about every year, even with annual losses to OU and Texas.

Yea the Pitt loss may have hurt Cincy's chances should they lose to Pitt next week but they still have a decent chance. So there's 4 BCS at-large spots and 2 of them are sewed up: TCU and the Bama-Florida loser.
There's pretty limited competition for the remaining 2 spots:

- Penn State or Iowa. I'd give the edge to PSU because they probably bring more fans
- Boise State
- Cincy, if they lose to Pitt
- Miami, could get consideration and TV would probably want them
- Va Tech, but it's a longshot, and of course they need to win today

And of course a Husker upset of Texas would put NU and probably UT also in there, leaving only 1 BCS spot up for grabs.

OSU had 4 yards of offense in the 2nd half according to Palmer at halftime of the Ku vs Mu game. EEEEEEK!

Actually, he went pure Hawk: He said "This too shall pass." (Actually he said something like "time will pass")
