One thing he said stuck out for me. He said that nobody had given them money specifically to buyout Hawkins, and that they don't solicit funds for that kind of thing. They are looking for donations to upgrade facilities only, basically. He avoided some very pointed questions by the interviewers, who I thought did a good job of asking the questions we all want answered. Stuff like "how many wins will it take for Hawk to keep his job next year?" (answer: It's imprudent to make those kinds of demands).

Bohn kind of pissed me off when he was asked about Hawkins assertion that we, as fans, should ask him what we can do for the program. His response was that we should support the school in every way possible and refrain from saying negative stuff on the internet. I honestly never know if he's referring specifically to us, or if it's more towards buffzone posters, or other bloggers or if he's lumping us all together. Probably just lumping us all together.

Anyway, he didn't say anything that will set the world on fire, but was a stand up guy and answered some pretty pointed questions, even if his answers were evasive. He did mention that the Basketball/Volleyball practice facility breaks ground next April. That was pretty nice. It might have been the only concrete quote that could be taken from the conversation. He definitely said next April.

did he say 1510 was awesome?

(answer: It's imprudent to make those kinds of demands).

kind of double-talk really. depends on your initial definition of "prudence". a negation can't really stand on it's own in logical terms.

and judging over the weekend, the internet scum version of prudence and the AD's are not congruous.

Did they ask when his contract is up and how negotiations are going? That would have been a tough question

Other programs don't complain to this extent about negative internet banter, do they? One of the potentials of a down program will eventually be apathy, and they certainly don't want that. Furthermore, the big-time programs around the country probably have 4-5 times the internet banter that CU gets.

other programs are run by ****ing grownups and don't give a **** what ppl say on the message boards.

The anger towards internet scum pisses me off - as we're the type of diehard fans that issue donations, buy season tickets, and load up on apparel.

He was also on 1600 this morning. Same kind of stuff. But he did say he was "working with Dan" to improve his, umm, mouth.

Yeah, that's what I've been wondering. Certainly schools in the south and places like ND and Michigan aren't coming out and demanding the fans to refrain from negativity on the internet? I can't imagine what kind of things have been said on the Georgia fan sites this year, or ND, or Michigan. There have been some people that have taken the dislike for Dan too far, like sending Cody hate mail, but I would assume it's quite tame when compared to other places. Stop making excuses Bohn & Hawk, win some games and suddenly the scum that is the internet will become your biggest supporter.

Blaming the fans is a cop out and deflection of accountability. This program is soft, and takes after it's head coach.

Mr.bohn, hawk and the players spend more time complaing about the fans instead of winning games. These folks think this stuff wouldn't happen at other big 12 and bcs programs?

Yet they think they are special and above criticism. Wake up.

:yeahthat: :drink2:

Apparently the entire Admin has been wooed by Hawk's positive reinforcement and any negative feedback is impossible for them to comprehend.

It's mind boggling how these people can't understand the negative tone of the fans. This isn't some kickball game at 3rd grade recess.

The more they talk, the more my faith in this program turns deeper into the abyss.

My wife says to me," It's all about the money, why else would they keep that horrible coach?" I told her about the gpa's and good citizens and she laughed and said, " Like other programs don't do the same, yet they win games"
