Texas Sucks

The big 12 is way overrated and TX played La-Monroe, UTEP, UCF, and WYO out of conference. I wanna see TCU play Bama.

Dood, over the line in my opinion. If you can't drink and post responsibly it might be time to go to bed.

walrus is onee of my favorite posters. if that offensed him or anyone else, osrry. im going to bed. not trying to beoffensive.

Sincere apology. serously.

Yes, but you more than made up for your offensive post with others including a reference to your "uncles' pussy" and "Burrito Watson".

They lost Ced Dockery on their offensive line but returned all the rest of them. How they haven't been able to block for Colt as well as last year baffles me. Is it on Coach McWhorter? Could be. Recruits as well as anyone on staff. Could be the gameday coaching.

Whoa. That assessment hits kind of close to home, now that I think about it.

Yes. 13-0 sucks.

Do you think they are the second best team in the country? It looks to me like a mediocre team by Texas standards that played a very weak OOC in a poor year for the B12. They don't have a win over anyone currently in the top 20.

They are lucky there is no undefeated B10 or Pac 10 team, or they would be on the outside looking in like last year. The Vince Young-led MNC team would beat this team by 3 touchdowns.

i've contended since the RRS that this UT team would have finished 3rd in last year's South. that said, i think they'll show up against Bama.

Texas played a ****ty game and still got by--they won't be overlooking Alabama. The BCS championship will be a very close game.

The BCS national championship game is going to be the best game since the VY Rose Bowl. Should be fun to watch great defensive football.

Just one question, make the two questions? Does the ending to the B12 CCG change things for the B12? Does Texass still always get what they want, how they want without regard to the rest of the rest of the conference?

I think there will be some discussions, behind closed doors about this game and it's affect on future games. Just to make things clear I'm not saying the 1 second call was the wrong call. But I do think the Texass schools are given advantages over the North schools more often then not. Should the "Conference Bosses" get what they desire by holding the B12 CCG in the same the location we will be assured the game will always essentially be a home game for the Texass schools.

Just once I would like the game rotated to the North and played in Denver.

Okay, UT plays good d, but come on, that was NU's "offense" last night...

They consistently force turnovers. They are second in the nation with 35 turnovers gained, they are seventh in sacks with 39, and they are second in third down defense at 27.1%. The only important stat that is a bit mediocre is red zone defense. You talk about those first three stats though, that is the definition of a defense that can actually make plays.

Texas is a great team, but their undefeated season is smoke and mirrors. Bama will expose them and put a whoopin on 'em.

Remember Colorado had Texas on the ropes and had a 14 point swing turn the game around just before halftime in their house.

I stand... informed. I was only referring to lauding them for last night's effort which, while good, was against a very mediocre offense. But that comment probably belonged in the game thread.

I was unaware we ever had Texas "on the ropes". Learn something new every day.

It's a euphemism formed in the current condition of our beloved Colorado Football team, meaning "we had a lead for a while".

Yes, the game was in KC last year. The B12 is looking at giving a permenant home of the B12 CCG to Cowboys Stadium at Arlington, TX.

I for one, don't want that to happen.

Oh, I didn't know that. Not overly surprising, they'd probably rather give Texas/Oklahoma the crown every year since they stand a very good chance at being the Ohio State of the Big 12 and going to the BCS every year. Pretty crappy for us though.

yep, it happened when we played them this year. We played them in Austin, not Boulder though

We will just have to disagree on what "on the ropes" means. We were ahead 14-3 at one point before they scored a TD late to make it 14-10 at halftime. The third quarter had a bunch of mistakes for us, including the blocked punt TD and the Cody INT returned for a TD. But even then, we were actually behind at the time when the INT was returned. That INT just made the win for Texas a formality. Just not sure you can actually say that we ever were in control of that football game after Texas pulled within four on a normal offensive TD drive just before halftime.
