We now have the worst recruiting class in the Big 12

According to rivals points system with the Jones Decommitment..

Forget what I said yesterday about going 8-4.. I really don't care anymore.:sad1:

I just want Talkins gone, Hagan gone, Riddle gone, Bohn gone, Benson gone, etc, etc, etc. Its time to move on..

:yeahthat:

Liver made a post earlier in another thread that we're digging a hole that will take years to dig out of. It just got a little deeper.

I believe in the talent we'll have on this team next year. I just can't believe any more that this staff can turn that talent into wins. And the way this recruiting class is starting to look, it terrifies me to think where we might be in 2-3 years.... :sad1:

8-4? 8 seasons with wins and 4 without over the next 12 years?

Exactly.. All we are doing by waiting is screwing the next coach..

Actually I take that back.. We had the worst recruiting class with Jones as a commit.. The update team rankings were from Dec 10.. It looks like we will be below CSU when the new one comes out..

No worries, everything is dandy..

careful there you are getting dangerously close to not being positive....you know how that will offend some people around here

Where there is smoke there is fire. This program WILL be burned to the ground. Once Hawk is gone it will take YEARS to recover from this.

The scary thing is we still have to worry about Munchie de-committing as well. If that happens, the situation becomes really bad.

. OH. THEN it becomes really bad.

Hell, it is already really bad. It becomes dire then? I do not know, but I think is pretty amazing how we have managed to lose Spond and Jones after Hawkins was retained. How the hell does that happen? Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Favors is a soft commit too? I really hope Hawk can at least turn recruiting around, or the next coach is going to have a very valid excuse of coming in with subpar talent on hand.

"worst recruiting class in the Big XII"...where are you getting that? Is that according to Scout and Rivals? Don't you know that those sites don't know what players are good and what players aren't. Our coaches know how to evaluate talent and I absolutely trust them!

(sarcasm, before any dumb-asses misunderstand)

Not much more to be said. I just heard the shovel take another scoop from the hole and throw it out. Deeper...Deeper....Deeper

thats what I was trying to say :smile2:

High school players, their coaches, and families aren't stupid. They know Hawkins is on his way out - it's just a matter of time. He's got absolutely nothing to sell a recruit.

thats the problem right there man. He is NOT on his way out. Just look at the standards put down by this administration. He is BACK next year with 6 wins. Maybe extended.

However, you are right about one thing. HS players etc aren't stupid. They know that Hawk SUCKS, and won't sign with him.

This is just sick.. I don't follow recruiting too closely but anybody can go look at our commitments and their offers and compare it to our rivals and conclude we have no shot at competing. Not only are we subpar in coaching, we will now be subpar in talent now in the Big 12.. Two ways to kill a program.

This is beyond frustration and to be honest I'm at a point where I don't really give a damn anymore. I tried to be positive two days ago with the 8 wins take and now I see this. Once Talkins is gone will be the day that I can start caring again. Its just too embarrassing at this point and I'm tired of being letdown by this clown. The CU family deserves a better man as head coach.

do you think the RMAC will take us back? That's who we are competing with in recruiting. This si f-in ridiculous. These 4 assholes have done more damage to CU football then Fairbanks did, and that was a lot. The other sports are not doing to hot either. Bohn is 0-4 on his hires at CU.

This is beyond depressing.
Will we even have 24 commits this year?

As I said about a week ago, you can throw out the 24 commits number IMO. We have 11 right now. I think we probably get one commitment out of the three visitors next weekend, so that would leave us at 12 heading into the dead period. That means it will take some serious work just to get to 20, especially considering three of our current commits are soft verbals at this time. It is going to be a small class.

So is Talkins going to cancel the recruiting luncheon? I mean what exactly could he say to people with a straight face about a class of 16-18 players where anyone with a clue knows we need a full class this year?

Everyone knew retaining Hack would seriously hurt recruiting with nothing left to sell, but this is going to be a long painful off-season watching it happen. I never followed recruiting until last year, now I wish I had not started.:sad1:
