I fully expect TCU to win by 3 or 4 TD's. Boise is a total joke with that schedule they played, but at least TCU is legit and deserving.
not sure why but I like BS. Started when we got Talk and I watched them play/beat OU. Not sure why I still like them, maybe because I hope we start using the talent we have the way they use all the talent they have (we have a lot more raw talent i think) or that part of me likes to grind in the idea that we hired the wrong guy from that program?

Wainaminnit - The halftime show on Fox had a piece about the USO bringing Barry Switzer and Brian Bosworth and Tommy Bowden and Rocket Ismail to Iraq to coach up the troops in a football game. And the CU cheerleaders were shown doing their thang infront of the troops.
It's not like the CU cheerleaders have a bowl game...but did they really go to Iraq...with Switzer? WTF?

When the call came, Liz Harris didn't hesitate to answer in the affirmative: Spend part of the holiday season in Iraq and Kuwait helping to entertain U.S. troops?

Harris, the University of Colorado's spirit coordinator – she coaches the school dance team, the CU Express, and oversees Chip (mascot) and the cheerleading squads – left on Dec. 27 and returned Jan. 3 on a mission of holiday gratitude sponsored by the USO and Tostitos.
Accompanying Harris on the trip were CU cheerleaders Lorraine Aceron, a junior from the Phillipines; Nicole Erpelding, a sophomore from Littleton; Lisa Fikany, a freshman from Castle Rock; and Kaitlin Nonko, a senior from Colorado Springs.
Colorado was picked in part because of Harris' quick reply to an e-mail asking for volunteer's. Tostitos' marketing agency, The Marketing Arm, reached out to Harris and countless others and Harris replied with a simple "very interested." The marketing agency said Harris was the first to respond, thus they moved forward with taking CU cheerleaders.
A taped segment that included the CU contingent was scheduled to be aired at halftime of Monday night's Tostitos Fiesta Bowl, matching TCU and Boise State.
It was a nice surprise seeing them during the halftime report - Go Buffs!

Freaking great game either way you rooted, or even if you didn't. Both schools proved that they have athletic ability, great coaching, and not once did I ever think I was watching "mid-major" football.

Converting a 4th and 9 to help ice another Bowl Game. Boise finds a way to win time and again.
Boise opened the season by putting an embarassing beatdown on the eventual Pac-10 champions and finished the season thumping an undefeated MWC champion who had beaten Utah, BYU and Clemson as well as several other bowl quality teams.
Say what you want about strength of schedule, but Texas didn't exactly play in a strong conference this year.
I would love to have seen a playoff bracket between Boise-Texas and TCU-Alabama with the two winners squaring off for the mNC.

Still feel that way? I'll admit, I thought TCU would handle Boise rather easily as well. Was rooting for Boise though.

TCU certainly appeared legitimate coming into the game, but apparently they weren't the real deal. From what little I saw of the game and the highlights, it looked like Boise was playing with a chip on their shoulder and a lot more emotion than TCU.
This is where a playoff is needed, personally I think Alabama or Texas would destroy Boise. To their credit they prepared well and handled TCU, but any "chip on their shoulder" attitude would not mean anything against Bama or UT, the superior talent would crush them and their bogus HS orange pants.
I know this has been argued ad nauseum, but look at BSU's schedule. Their opponent's overall record was 84-91. If you take away Oregon and TCU, that drops to 62-87. Sure they get credit for beating Oregon (nationally televised, at home, first game of season) and TCU (Bowl game after 4 weeks off). But the meat of their schedule was really easy. I think it is a whole different deal when you only have a season with two tough games. They were pretty much able to slide through the season without a lot of stress and without getting beaten up.

I find the disdain for Boise, and TCU to a lesser extent, hilarious. Boise has tried to play BCS schools in non conference games but the BCS schools want no part of Boise. They are stuck in their conference, nothing they can do about. They have now twice run the table in 4 years. Could they survive in the B12? Probably. Shoot, they are e better team than KU, atm, KSU, Baylor, ISU and CU with out a doubt and would be on par with OSU, Mizzou, TT and NU. Same could be said for TCU.
