ESPN had reported that Harbaugh denied any interest. But...

RAIDERS SPEAK TO JIM HARBAUGH--

As I opined here in this space passionately Jan. 9Th, the Raiders need to get Jim Harbaugh on board. Apparently, they met with him and he supposedly has no interest in the job. OK, so why did he make a trip to Alameda and meet with Al Davis? Like, why would you meet with an organization that you have "no interest" in? Like what, a cell phone wasn't available?

This isn't the end of this story. Think about numbers like this: 4 and 20. Yeah, draw your own conclusions.

********

It's a blog, so take it fwiw. But Rich Lieberman has been a pretty connected sports reporter / sports talk guy in the Bay Area for a couple decades. He probably had decent info here.

Anything that ****s with Stanford's recruiting is fine with me, we are after a lot of the same kids.

Coulter is at NW and Spond is not really considering CU anymore. Palelei's situation is odd...I don't think there's a lot of mutual interest in him by Stanford anymore. While I agree that we do go against Stanford, I don't think Harbaugh's situation is going to effect this year's class at all - even if the Raider's hire him tomorrow.

I think it's good that other programs show some instability in the HC position, because it makes us look more normal. Anyone could go at anytime.

What, they are going to pay Harbaugh in pot? Will he draft Clark Evans?
