AWESOME! 1990 Uni's coming outLALL NEXT YEAR

Now, if they put up the same results as 1990, then we'll be getting somewhere.

Finally something to look forward to seeing on the field!! (oops.)

1890?

Letting a Hawkins lead team wear these all season is a slap in the face of a proud 1990 MNC squad. That's a tradition that's neither timid nor weak unlike the current regime.

Bull****. The current team are buffaloes and that includes the past, present, and future of the program.

While I like the idea, I think it would be more appropriate to honor the 1981 team and wear the powder blue unis all year. If we're going to play like a Chuck Fairbanks coached team, we might as well look like one.

I like the idea. It is a good thing to honor the NC team. Personally, they could go back to the friggin' Stay Puft Marshmallow all whites....AS LONG AS THEY WIN SOME FRIGGIN' GAMES.

Exactly. The players are wearing the uniform, not Hawkins.

I think it's great. Let's get them feeling good about being Buffaloes. There is enough negative feelings out there already.

i think that the comments that the team shouldn't wear the 90 uniforms are a bit unfair.

one should remember that the program is bigger than one coach or even one set of players. the 90 year was very big for the program and for all of us fans. it is the 20th year anniversary and it is a good thing to commemorate it. hell, it might even help to remind recruits that we were at the very top of the pyramid at one point. it may give folks a glimpse of what is possible.

also, if you want to assess blame for the current state of the program, then aim at the staff (and at the administration for allowing this to continue). the staff is highly paid to recruit players that fit its system and then to coach those players up. if the program is not succeeding, it is because the staff has failed to obtain, nourish, and properly use the personnel as necessary to reach the goal.

i'll look forward to seeing the players in the throwbacks. those were the best damned looking uniforms CU has ever worn and probably ever will wear. they represent the best of CU football and they are a symbol of what we aspire to be again. the players, i would think, will be honored to wear them and i am sure they'll do all they can do to represent the program the best that they can.

:congrats:

Great idea! The gold pants and helmets better be the same tone. And I disagree about the people saying this team doesn't deserve to wear them.

Anything is better than that urine yellow that the team has been using for their helmets. Although, they go well with the fact that we play piss poor.

I'm torn.

I love those uniforms. Classic!

But I don't want to see our Buffs lose multiple games in them, and we know they will.

i'll be impressed if they match the pant and helmet and have the old block style CU instead of the new Bohn era slanty one.

as i'm known for, i'm a 365/24/7 hater of the new Nike jobs. Mac and Barney had the best unis in college football. now, we look like Nike's #2 biotch. the silver numbers don't work and we wear South Florida's helmet and the geometry experiment on the pant is dumb.

Yes!

Those were some great unis. I remember CU fans all thought the Buffs had the best uniforms in the country. Great news!

I love these uni's and I would be happy to see them on the team next year. They are so much better than the duds the teams have been wearing the last couple of years. Saying the team does not deserve to wear them is stupid. Will they win the MNC, no but only one team at CU has ever done that.

.

Not going to happen. If I remember correctly they said the new logo look brings a "Hispanic" touch to it according to Bohn.. I will search for the article tomorrow..

Besides that, at least we are getting rid of those awful uniforms that we have.. 1990 is fine with me..
