Simas suspended....

FU***************************************************. Never any good news. F******************************.

Sigh. He cannot seem to stay out of trouble. Probably will be missing at least a couple games.

Awesome! Simas, Tau, Fatagi and Nukols can hang out and find out if there is any other ways to not make it on the field

So how harsh will the punishment be from Hawkins? This guy has already been on thin ice and apparently fails to learn any sort of lesson. Suspended the first two games of the season again? The entire non-conference slate? More?

I will not have an issue with whatever Hawkins decides in this situation.

I agree. This is strike three. I hope that whatever violation is not major, and Simas sees the field in 2010 because we need his talent, but if this is a major violation of rules-bye bye.

This is good news, as we're always looking for the next excuse to explain our results. Hence, this is just another nail in the coffin for coach.

I don't think this would be strike three, would it. He sat out a year because of academics. I don't think that would count as a "strike." I'd bet almost anything that this is alcahol related but I could be wrong.

It was just last spring where Coach was saying something about wanting to hit Simas upside the head for being ineligable.

At this point I feel like one of the pigeons in the learned helplessness experiments, where I'm just being shocked in a cage and can't do anything about it.

Just once this offseason, just once, I'd like to wake up in the morning and read an article about how awesome CU in-state recruiting is going to be next year because all the top kids want to stay and help show what Colorado is made of; how some 97-year-old childless millionaire left all his money to CU athletics; how the Pac 10 sees how awesome CU is and really wants us; or how the entire team has made a non-coach inspired pact to lift weights and practice every day, not party and get the team GPA up to 3.0, and donate 4 hours per week per player to some local charity. I'm so, so, so sick of reading the exact opposite.
