Renewals are being mailed out tomorrow. So now it's time to make the decision a lot of us have been thinking about. For those of you who are also season ticket holders, are you renewing?

I am not. Neither is my dad, who has been a season ticket holder since he graduated in the early 60s. This will be the first year he has not had season tickets in all that time.

We will still attend the games, but will buy them individually. If the AD and Administration does not place a priority on winning, I see no reason why I should continue to give them money as if nothing is wrong. Something is rotten in Boulder.

i am going to wait and see what they do against CSU. if they come out flat like they did last year and look like they couldn't care less out there, i'm not renewing. money is short anyways and i'm not paying to watch that crap again.

i guess i really don't know how it works. i just had a single ticket last year, and figured since renewals were going to be way down this year i could wait. i didn't get that single season ticket until about four days before the season last year.

They mail out renewals in Feb and I think you have until sometime in April to commit and pay. The date will be on the letter.

No season tix for me... I can just get cheap single game tickets

I hear you. In years past I have justified paying more for season tickets because I believed the AD was trying to build a winning program. I no longer believe that.

I was actually planning to do the same thread as a follow up to my original one ... but I was planning to wait until August/September.

Here´s the link to my original thread ... in late November/early December 47 said they were going to renew, 45 said they weren´t.

I would expect about 60% yes to 40% no. Maybe slightly higher on the yes, but we'll see. I expect the AD is looking at losing several thousand season ticket holders this year.

Wow, if CU loses anywhere near 45% of their season ticket renewals...I don't even want to think about it.

I have posted this before on this board, I think, but don't recall what answer I got.

Can I get student season tickets for football as a CU-Denver graduate student?

If I can I will definitely get tickets. If not... probably just buy single game tickets for 1-3 games like I did last year when I didn't live on the front range.

I said yes in the poll. However, I plan on getting more serious about my decision as the deadline approaches.

lefty, I don't see any way the AD loses 45% of all season ticket holders. But I could easily see a 20-30% drop, which would be huge, if not catastrophic.

I'm not saying it WILL happen, just saying if 45 out of 92 respondents to Jens' poll voting for no renewal was an indication, there is a big problem...45% is a rough estimate of the results of that poll.

True, although I don't think AB is representative of the average fan. I could see 45% of AB ticket holders dropping...

I don't know yet. If they announce they are going to move to the PAC 12 I will renew both sets if not just 1

I imagine the fans here are a little more fanatical...and more likely to not renew to try and force positive change. I can see both sides of the renew/not renew argument.

A healthy number of fans - even ones that buy expensive tickets - are going to not really care all that much about the product on the field, IMO, or at the very least not have their game attendance patterns affected by the product on the field.

My fam has had them since the 70's, none of us are renewing. Seeing other long timers here doing the same makes me think it's Armageddon for the AD. A 20% decrease would be hard to spin, but 40%? Wow, just wow, it could be real ugly.

When you close your poll, you might consider sending the results to Bohn as the final tally could be indicative of what the real drop off actually is.
Could be a real eye opener for Mikey. I'm sure he's expecting lower numbers than what there's been in past seasons.

According to Ringo's article in the Daily Camera, CU only had about 22,000 season tickets last year, and was in the 18,000 range during some recent "lean" years.

I would bet that they are below 18,000 season tickets for the 2010 season. Combine the crappy schedule with the terrible product and I doubt there will be a huge push to purchase season tickets.

Besides, Colorado football hasn't had a sell out in ages. I doubt any of the games on the 2010 schedule will be in such high demand that single game tickets can't be purchased before the game.

I said yes, but ONLY because I can get the student price. for~100 its nearly impossible to say no. However, NONE of the people I went with last year are renewing. NONE. And I got a few other acquaintances who I convinced to get season tix last year who will not be. I am curious to see how the students react as a group. The student tix have been sold out for several years in a row now. could even that group change?

As an OOS season ticket holder no way. I still plan on going to a game though.

the georgia game will be in high demand, i imagine. other than that though, it all depends on how we do on the field.

I'm unable to answer the question. I'm involved in three separate sets of tickets. The ones my Dad and I use will be renewed. The ones I own with my F-I-L and wife will certainly NOT be renewed. The ones through Allbuffs.com are solidly in the "maybe" column.

I'm still not sure which route I'll go. I've currently got 4 great seats in 119. I've decided that I won't renew all 4 and I think that I'll end up either renewing 2 and dropping 2, or else drop them all and just hit 1 or 2 games this year in folsom (Georgia plus any 2-1 or 4-1 deals like they had last year). Sad deal is that I've only missed 1 home game in the past 13 years and here I am talking about pretty much dropping out.

Last time I talked to my dad (30+ year season ticket holder), he was on the fence as well.. I doubt this is gonna go well for CU on renewals.
