Good job keeping the program clean so far this offseason Dan.

Well we tied Duke in football recruiting, so looks like we are on our way to matching that here too!

When was that updated? A boomer LB (austin box) was arrested for being drunk and urinating in public, his 2nd such offense in a 12-month period.

I'm sorry, but this is beyond silly. We have 6 points based on a DUI? Oregon has had a punter nearly killed (who is now being charged in the case, btw), two players under investigation for stealing laptops from a fraternity and their starting RB sitting in jail today for domestic abuse.

Taking a quick glance at ESPN today...
Duck's James in jail
Pitt saftey/LB kicked off team
Gator's DT charged with two counts of battery
Michigan State fight leads to 4 more guilty pleas

Guess I'm not sure about the scoring system here.

 have you guys already forgotten Evans and Gus? And they only update the board once a week. Oregon is winning now

Actually I had... Have to admit that. Still, seems like an odd scale when I'm seeing a lot of news from around the country, especially Oregon.

Not that it matters, but how do they score that? Is getting caught smoking a j in your dorm equivlaent to strangulation or assault? Does Lagarret Blount get no points for trying to go all Ron Artest in Boise since he wasn't charged with a crime?

Off season scoring only, and yes smoking a J in your dorm room is = to a DUI in thier scoring system, although the EDSBS guys might find out that since this is boulder that evans wont be charged with anything thus removing his 2 points.

As for the premise of the thread its ****ing stupid and jsut one more case of people looking to pile on Hawk, he hasnt won a lot of games we get it, but if your really going to complain about the sort of offseason trouble we've had this year you need your head adjusted.

CU gets style points I believe, plus you have to consider the technical merit of the offenses and the corresponding degree of difficulty...I mean really, attempted strangulation of a girlfriend is so passe'...it was out of style even back when Lawrence Phillips was doing it....

the premise of this thread is that the excuses they used when they kept hawk are ****ing stupid. kthx.

I love the CU football community with a passion.

Premise for keeping Dan Hawkins despite extreme incompetence: "clean program!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

On CU ranking near the top of the not-clean-program list for the year: "The list sucks".

We now have excuses for our excuses. Good work, team.

most predicable sighting in a thread ever.

You guys are reveling in this ****, aren't you? Maybe you should look at the bright side. CU and Boulder cops don't protect football players like many other college towns we all know and love.

Does ANYBODY seriously think the CU football team is populated with thugs and troublemakers and guys who don't graduate, that when folks around the country look at it they see a program out of control? C'mon. They see a team that can't win on the road, can't dominate on the field (even when playing Eastern Washington, Toledo or f****** Montana State), isn't all that dynamic or fun to watch, that's led by a guy who thinks words are a substitute for results, etc, etc, etc.

Bash Hawkins all you want, but any objective viewer knows this is the one area where the program has improved post Tricky Rick and Barnett.

Rodrigo -

Good to see you still come around once in a while. Don't be such a stranger to the board.

could explain why we have soft team. its sad that the most fired up guy i seen at the games was goodman while everyone else was sitting with their heads down. im not saying we need dirty players like larry asante but maybe more bryce givens (between the whistles)
