Buffnik, any truth to the rumors to Carzell Vickers coming through another JR day?

Buffnik, any truth to the rumors this kid is coming through another JR day?

I've been trying to find out.

On your earlier question, it hasn't been reported anywhere that they're related. (But you'll be happy to know that when I googled "carzell vickers related lawrence" this Allbuffs thread came up #1.)

Props to Ringo: he just responded to my post on Scout. Vickers will be at Junior Day. So will his teammate, fullback George Talanoa. Sounds like it would help CU immensely with both of them if we were to announce a move to the Pac 10 during this recruiting cycle (and we need to convince Talanoa that we'll actually use a fullback).

Damn premium info? well at least Ringo is doing his job, and good to see Carzell coming and that he's bringing a third team mate from Valor Christian.

Hmm so they both prefer the Pac 10 over the Big 12. I think that just goes to show that a move to the Pac 10 would help us with west coast recruits, they simply prefer the P10 over the B12. I wouldn't have guessed that recruits from Colorado would prefer it, though.

Doesn't surprise me. Look where we lost most of the CO top 10 to this year. I'm working on a data analysis.

Yeah I suppose that's true.. just more evidence that Colorado is really more of a P10 state than a B12 one

Vickers says that most of his family is in California and he's mostly thinking Pac 10. [imo, it would help CU a ton if we made an announcement that we're joining that conference.]

Vickers is running the 400m in 48 seconds (that's fast).

“He looks like Usain Bolt," Talanoa said describing his friend on the field. "He’s so fast. Once he catches the ball he has so much speed. It looks like he’s gliding in the air.”

Read more in the new Scout article "Speed to Burn"

Rivals has updated Vickers' profile with a 4.4 forty time (which I don't really believe).

More importantly:

CU has offered!

I really like Vickers and hope he commits.

(Could help us with Berglund, too.)

Valor's facilities are incredible. The school seems to have been founded with the mission of being a football/baseball powerhouse.

I do not think Vickers is a guy you take with limited scholarships available. We have others higher on the board.
